Defense Minister Dragan Šutanovac doesn't believe the Army will do anything contrary to state policy vis-a-vis Kosovo.

it´s about PR... reiterating own standpoints in order to not let others dictate what should be the dominant news in the media.
don´t worry about the serbian military...as far as I have been told from independent sources, it is very professional and very good prepared.
that´s something you should take into account rather than doubting about the democratic control upon the serbian army.

It is rather ironic that while Serbs are raising hell why Prishtina cannot control a shadowy, underground group such as the ANA, Serbia itself cannot be 100% about its national army. Otherwise why would it feel the need to reassure the world every other week that it can control it?. Not that it is giving people much confidence. After all the minister "believes" the army will not to anything contrary to state policy, and given that the Serb government believes Kosova will never become independent this cannot be of much comfort.
