“Kosovo negotiations won’t end on Dec. 10”

The Russian envoy is trying to play the optimistic guy who is so desperate for a "compromise" and keep Kosova under Serbian sovereignity. It is the last ditch attempt to frustrate the Kosovar Albanians by asking to postpone the solution, create another conflict and finding excuses to devide Kosova. Everyone knows where the problem stands in these Kosova "negotiation". It is all about the SOVEREIGNITY. The real facts are stubborn that Kosova deserves to be independent and free from Serbia once and for all. The main reason for that is the echnic cleansing campaign organised by the Serbian State which was a fatal strategy. No one with a sound mind can ask the Kosovar Albanians to forget about their history, crimes commited against the civilians by the State aparatus, and paradoxally to ask more than two million Kosovar Albanians to be Serbian citizens. It is just mad, unrealistic and it will NEVER happen.

let´s not start lining up all those atrocities committed by the Albanians against Serbs and other non-albanians... it would be a long list, ...but, I think it´s better to look into the future...and start being productive citizens of the State of Serbia.

You guys tryed, everything, to keep the war going, assimilate as much a possible albanians in Kosovo, chase them out of Kosovo, tryed even to keep the Prishtina Internatioanl Airport, even now, trying to block any solution, becouse you want to keep Kosovo as Cyprus forever, even trying to show musculs, starting a "New Cold War", however , everything you guys tryed until now, it did not work, the reason is the you are to much short on funds, you might have one ore two guys with money , but that would not do it.
There will be always ways to go around you, becouse that bear which you are so proud of, is not anymore, what it used to be, yes of course, against the small volks, like Tchechenia, Kosovo, etc, you still are big guys, but in a larger scale... you know even better than me, you are lost, so the only way that russians, even serbs, can start to make and build good image in the world is to try to make things simple, to try to use the power still left in their hands , for the good of all mankind in the world, not for anymore delays which will bring to the destabilisation of the part of the world, ( becouse destabilisation of the world is a big word for you ).You know, while the other countrys ( civilised ones ), move forward with their lives, with their technology, with better health care, you guys live still on the dreams of USSR ( serbia even worst , on the dreams of 600 yrs old lost battle ), but my advice to all of you is, even if you will rule for 100 more yrs it will be over, so try to make an exemple in the world taking the role where you should have been right after you lost the "OLD COLD WAR", so be there for more human rights in the world, starting in Russia itself.

Of course the NATO agression was launched with kosovo independence in mind.The western media lied about a "genocide" to sell their agression to an ignorant western public.They wanted to turn a serb province into a NATO state. The only problem was that their moslem ground troops ( so called KLA) and the invading albanian army were quickly owned by the serb army. People forget that serbia did not withdraw the army until after the UN resolution was signed by NATO garuanteeing serb sovereignty over kosovo. Smart move by serbia to let the UN or EU pay the huge welfare bill for the Kosovo albanians whilst still controlling the wealthy north. Everyone knows that albanians were for years clamouring to get to yugoslavia from albania to take advantage of the education, healthcare and generally better standard of living enjoyed by citizens of the former yugoslavia. Ive posted it before on this site and i'll post it again that the EU will not follow the US and support a unilateral declaration because it will cause disunification in the EU and, besides the EU and the US have not been unified since the Iraq conflict. The EU is content to take over from UNMIK and run the albanian part of Kosovo, they dont see the urgent need for independence because they arent desperately trying to appease the moslems like the US is.

It is the most important point that explains a position of US and EU. If we recall Appendix B it is clear how important it was for US to occupy Yugoslavia. When Yugoslavia's delegation refused to sign an agreement, then under NATO umbrella US started illegal aggression of Serbia. Now they have one of the biggest military base in Kosovo - Camp Bondsteel.

It is a pupet government. If you remember Poland (Czech and Hungarian) membership to NATO was accelerated in order that NATO has a greater representation.

He also said that he was pleased that the talks were going in the right direction.
This suggests to me that Russia is optimistic about Kosovo remaining Serbian territory.

I cannot see how the K-Albanians can interpret his comments as anything positive for them. The west realied heavily on the truth about their intervention remaining a secret from their citizens. Slowly but surely the truth is being exposed now. Without the support of their population the US government will not commit themselves to sending more of their soldiers in harms way, especially when they still have to show results achieved in Iraq to their people. They will have to justify Iran to them pretty soon as well. Frankly I cannot see them being able to justify Kosovo, especially now that the truth is coming out.

Every post from the Albanians here says one thing. That is that they will never accept being a part of Serbia again. Don't they see that without US they cannot demand anything as they are not that important to Europe. I am astonished that they still think that just because they demand something Europe will jup to it.

In my opinion, the difference between Russia and the US in this matter is that Russia is pro-Serbia and anti-Kosovo while the US is pro-Serbia and pro-Kosova. It is in Russia's best interest to destabilize the area and in the US interest to stabilize the area. In the end, Serbia will be pro-US as it is in their best interest. Only the nationalists think otherwise. I wish good luck and prosperity to both Serbia and Kosovo.

Stop dreaming. At the end Europe will follow the US. Europe was never able to decide on anything. They always need somebody to lead them. This was the case when the West intervened in Bosnia and later in Kosovo with the leadership of the US.
