"In the remaining Serbia of some 7-7,5 million people there are Albanians only in the Presevo valley. Yes those Albanians are in minority in Serbia"

wrong Joe, there are tens of thousands of ethnic Albanians living and working in and around Belgrade just as they are ethnic Croats, Bosniaks, Slovenes, Slovaks, Hungarians, Roma etc. If they can all live in harmony why cant you lot?

So the Albanian minister is telling Europe that Albanians will not negotiate hence the talks will break down.
What's more he is also telling EU and NATO to pick their side and go to war against Serbia. Does he think he is the king of Europe?
Maybe he matters in Albania and can call the shots but not outside Albania.

European Union will do as they see fit and not what he tells them to do. This is a display of great arrogance, but we are not used to anything less than that from the Albanian side.

Their moto is independence or we will go to war. Why is anyone wasting time negotiating?
Europe, just do as you're told by this Albanian minister and you'll be safe.

Giver,
Since Kosova is independent in practical terms for the last 8 years and will be also independent very soon in all formality. In the remaining Serbia of some 7-7,5 million people there are Albanians only in the Presevo valley. Yes those Albanians are in minority in Serbia. I am in full agreement with you.

Kosova is not an internal “problem” as was used to be called, but it is an international one, at lest from 1999 onward, therefore Albania, as an immediate neighbor country to Kosova has full right to express its stand on Kosova as well as Macedonia and Montenegro. Additionally Serbia has also right to express its opinion, as an immediate neighbor and a country that has a number of its people living in.
Regarding the Republika Srpska that Pijetro is mentioning here, everyone knows very well that Serbija has interfered there not only politically but military in a first place, and not only there but in Croatia as well, breaking international law. Additionally, in 1989 when Milosevic forcibly took control over Kosova, changing Kosova’s constitution, and sending in the military troops was also interfering in one other political entity, right? So, why not Albania to interfere when we, Albanians, consists more than 90% of Kosova inhabitants.

I recommend he back to Tirana and figure out how to provide heat for his citizens this winter. Why is the EU even giving him an audience?

we have the minister of the economy and energetics for that, and by the way we have a very warm winter.
Albania is already a UE candidate and very soon a NATO member so our minister of the foreing affairs have enough credentianls!

Albania has kept a very politically correct position during these times regarding Kosova Issue. It has always been aligned with the West, EU and NATO in all its declarations and statements. I don't think anyone would argue with that. Even now, all what the Minister is saying is: As for the record, we are asking you not to act surprised tomorrow, when...etc, etc...as U.S., Great Britain, France, and many others had told you will do.

And yes, it is true, Albania is poor now, but not for too long, and you bet your sweeties we are working on it.

"The plan offers the Kosovo Serb minority the widest guarantees and safeguards possible compared to any minority in Europe," he said.

Funny, isn't that the same thing as Belgrade's offering?
Except that it's from the other side of the border, and the Albanians are considered the minority?

Isn't politics funny?

Of course, if Serbia's politicians get involved in Republika Srpska, then it's called "Outsider interference"...

Someone should remind Albania that in Serbia, Albanians are the minority and not the Serbs. Our land is not for sale. If you want to live in Serbia, respect our laws and those of the international community. If you want to live by your own laws and illegal declarations, Albania is right next door. You're free to leave if you can't accept that.

If that's true jovan, what should EU do about greek cyprus romanian interference?
Perhaps they too will fall out the window?

CoscoVo

And Albanian calling for more land to be Albanian - is this newsworthy? Who cares what this guy thinks? This would be like asking a Serbian diplomat whether RS should be under Muslim Bosniak rule, or independent. I recommend he back to Tirana and figure out how to provide heat for his citizens this winter. Why is the EU even giving him an audience?

EU is clearly not united and he keeps pushing the idea of independence. That may so easily backfire. Albania should focus on its own problems. Of which they have no shortage off. Instead of interfering in Serbs internal problems.

Great move from Albanian diplomacy to take in Crown Prince Leka II as special advisor on Kosova issue. I think he is the one who is injecting some fresh ideas on what has been so far a sleepy ministry that only reacts to events on the ground.

the albanian minister is leaning quite far out of the window... he could fall, if he´s not careful.

openly calling for the breach of international law doesn´t suit a statesman very well...

now, after this interference of an outsider, it should be clear that there is a strive for a greater Albania, ...and this should be seen as an open threat to international law and peace.
