Why split up a country which can work fine if they unite together? Surely you aren't saying that an RS which was built by genocide and the killing of thousands upon thousand lives should receive their own country? Serbia is a big enough place. The people in RS just want a greater Serbia. Bosnian (Muslims) have constantly voted for both Croat and Serbs alike (fairly). Even one of our former presidents on the Bosnian side was a Bosnian Serb. To say that abolishing such a stupid thing as a two state entity is not smart. Abolishing it is what needs to be done and perhaps those who believe in a greater Serbia and a greater Croatia will go back to their homeland and leave the rest of us that can live in peace to live...well in peace.
Separating now will devastate Bosnia as the Serbs were very smart on taking all of our natural resources up in the north when they planned this attack years prior to the war.

Thanks for explaining why, I could never understand hence i asked why are they trying to water down srpska. Its typical western media lies that make those statements. I just dont believe that if bosnia is a mini yugoslavia and yugoslavia couldnt exist the first time than why try and create another one. It just doesnt make sense.

The only thing that can save "Bosnia" is immediate EU membership and this should have happened 12 years ago. We do not need 3rd rate politicians rejected by euro voters to tell us what democracy is, we are divided but still more free than any other european state. It is time to admit the multi ethnicity under Tito is dead, interestingly Serbia remains the most diverse ex yugoslav republic, so much for Milosevics ethnic cleansing accusation.

Jack, as a serb I understand and totally agree with you.

BUT, lets face it, Tudjman sacrificed the croats in HerzegBosna for the croats in Croatia.

However, you all got croatian citizenship and passports during the war, you should be glad of that, most serbs in RS did not get that in Serbia

Mark,

The Croatians have to be carefull about speaking of partition of the federation. The United states is putting much pressure on the Croatian Republic not to endorse the partition of Bosna. To the frustiration of the Croats in Bosna, their is little they can do, if they do not get support from Croatia. So we pretend we are a federation, but reality is we would rather be on are own with our brothers to the North. Americas policy is to divide and conquer and they have done it with great success in the former Yugoslavia.

Mark, your post shows how uninformed you are. People who know anything about the bosniak-croat federation know that the Croat representative, Komsic, was elected thanks to Bosniak votes, not croat ones. The main croat party was split because of some conflict, and thus Komsic won, with between 30 and 40 percent of the vote. To make things worse for the croats, Komsic has made his croatian cabinet have five out of six people being bosniak. He is married to a bosniak too and is does not represent croat interests. If you looked into croat politics in BiH, you would notice that the croats want to form a third entity, and may god help them in doing so. We serbs need to help them and be in good relations with them. Herceg-Bosna always had great relations with Republika Srpska, for the short time that it existed.

But yeah, you should read into this more before you say stuff that is simply not true. The croats do want to break off and are misrepresented by a bosniak as their president.

When equal entities begin down the slippery slope advocating separation, the divorce becomes inevitable. For example, Kobe Bryant and Lakers Owner Buss have both spoken about an eventual trade, and it seems it's finally going to happen...where Kobe ends up, NY, Chicago, Dallas is anyone's' guess. Point is, it's going to happen now that both sides have spoken their hearts.

Serbs and Croats should have allied during the civil conflict in Bosnia. The war would have ended in months rather than years, lives would have been spared, and the eventual true division of it's ethnic groups would have occurred without the terrible carnage we all witnessed. Unfortunately, Croats allied, fought, and then re-allied with Islam instead of Christians, and now they find themselves dominated by Muslims, subservient in the "Federation." Anyone could have predicted that years ago. Advocating separation, Bosnia's dysfunctional two state system is obviously broken beyond repair. Two choices,...fight in another pointless conflict which no one wants or needs....or do the smart thing and separate which we ALL want. Serbs go one way, and Croats/Muslims..you figure out the division of your Federation and march to your own tune.

Regarding Kosovo, we need to separate and we needed to achieve this yesterday. Split Kosovo and bring Kosovo Serbs into a defensible and solidified region to the North. If we need to move Brick by Brick every single church and Monastery to our "zone" then lets do it. Serbia has so much going for it, we need to look to the future and Albanians are certainly have brought nothing to the table. Its going to be amusing beyond words to watch as greater Albania continues to dysfunction, surviving only by nipple feeding from the US/EU.

I am proud of being born and educated in a country with a constitution and a very old democracy. That is why I wonder who those people are that believe they can force an elected politician i Bosnia to violate the Dayton agreement.
This document gave Bosnia three constitutions. Read them carefully all of you "shadow democrats", who believe you can use pressure on politicians to support a reform that violates the constitution they are elected to guard. Why don't you accept that even in Bosnia - you need an egg before you can have a chicken. Take the fight - go for change of the constitutions. Do not try ask europeans to endorse a project that violates the constitution of an entity or a state.

Jack, I agree let Srpska join Serbia proper but why are croatians with muslims trying to water the state of srpska down when serb officials advocate a federal system of three states, serbs, cros and muslims and later we can all break up and go wherever we want. Your people and politicians should insist on splitting up the cro muslim federation.

Partition is the only solution. Not even a miracle will help the situation in Bosnia&Herzegovina. How can the christians live side by side, if the Muslims want to dominate? Serbs were once the biggest group in Krupa, Sarajevo, Kljuc and other places. Croats were once the biggest group in places like Travnik. And then what happens? We become a minority because they outbreed us. The best solution is a three way division. And frankly, I think it would be best for R.S. to join Montenegro, not Serbia.

Jack

pre 16 godina

Forget police reform. Division is best. We Croatians do not want to be part of any coalition goverment with Serbs, and especially Muslims. We want to be part of Republic of Croatia. Give it up!!
