EA,

Even if there is a UNSC resolution it may NOT breach international law.

So as long as Serbia does not agree no independence for Kosovo.

You know that. Please accept it. Reintegrate in Serbia. And come to Europe as soon as possibile!

KS,

You say: we win! But who 'won' for you? WE, THE WEST!

Without us, you would be nowhere!

You claim victory. But you never achieved victory. The West did the fighting for you.

If tomorrow the US invades Sri Lanka to support the Tamils the Tamils would have won?

Come on. Don't make yourself appear foolish!

If nobody cared what Russia and other opposing countries to the independent Kosovo have to say, why are they still talking about it and why are they are always going to Russia to discuss the issues. Lets face it, nobody cares about ethnic Albanians in Kosovo and they'd rather have a good relationship with Serbia and Russia than a poor Albania.

Serb Camp says: "I do belive that Russia, Kina and India will all be more powerful than the US in the next 10 years"

This coming from the same experts who A) spell China with a K and B) consider Serbia a super-power
C)innocent to any war-crime.

what´s so special about sarkozy?

is his "dear santa vladi list" shorter then of the other western super-dupa-powers?

tsar vladi isn´t pragmatic, he listens to the western beggers and loughs afterwards. he doesn´t lough into their face, so he isn´t pragmatic, but polite.

why should putin talk with sarkozy about the russian backyard in the balkans?

KS, you wrote : "Hear me out, NOBODY cares what RUSSIA thinks! Get it?"

I don't want to question your sanity, but have you lost your mind???

Since the american failure in Iraq, and the upcoming failure in Iran their role as a superpower will have diminished VERY much. I do belive that Russia, Kina and India will all be more powerful than the US in the next 10 years. So MANY care about what they think!!!

If Russia chooses not to sell 1 gram of OIL/GAS to WEST moskvo will be covered with starved dead people.

Buyer needs Seller.

Once report goes back to UN (from Troika) Ahtisaari is what it's going to be decided.

Either Declaration of Independence or Ahtisaari plan..either way we win, you lose; AGAIN.

I find this very odd and hard to believe since only a few days ago Katyn Massacre was being commemorated.

Cvele is correct, Laki. The US is cutting so many budgets in areas that are needed by the poor and old in America, just to fund the horrible war in Iraq. US is a debtor nation. I see NY next to your name, do you read American papers or watch American news?

KS, Russia supplies 30% of Europe's oil and is the predominant supplier of natural gas also (I forgot the amount, but it is the biggest nonetheless). Both entities, Russia and EU have a mutual, developed and beneficial trade relationship, which means they rely on each other.

Who are you to say that no one cares what Russia thinks? If no one cared about what Russia thought, Kosovo would be independent 10 years ago. Why isn't it? Because evidently the EU prefers have a good and steady supply of gas and oil rather than some pointless and useless "state" in the Balkans.

In any case, it's all just policy, it's actually the world that doesn't care what Albanians and Serbs think, it's all a game of policy, nonetheless, Russia matters A LOT! It is a UNSC member for heaven's sake! It is the one reason that Kosovo didn't immediately get independence through the UNSC vote!!!

U r right. They cant VETO it in the contact group. But once the contact group finishes, who do they have to send the report back to? The UN. Where Russia does have a VETO. So I don't see how anything u have said is relevant.

I am sure that the Americans and Europe see the Russian stance in the way you and the the other Serbs see it.
Do you really believe because of your Slavic roots with Russia you can hold Kosova's independence? Soon you will be very very disappointed. Russia has all the right to object Kosova's indpendence like any country in the world but will not be able to block it. Soon you will another humiliation for Russia and Serbia should they resist the independence of Kosova. Why are you afraid of countries in the world being able to recognise Kosova independence as they see fit? You have many "friends" in the world that can understand you.....

I think the fact that 30% of Europe's oil and is by far the dominant exporter of natural gas (both being critical for Europe's functioning and Russia's economy), the EU will not be so quick to brush aside Russia's opinions. Both need each other, no one really needs Kosovo.

Do the Albanians here think that France would prefer to have a beneficial trade relationship with Russia (especially in terms of oil and gas) or pump out massive funds into economically backward Kosovo that can give nothing in return?

Well EA,

I know it must pain you that Russia is on our side.

"The threat of veto mean would mean arrogance and "show off" of being a superpower. "

Do you know what the comparison is in terms of, number of times the veto was used; between the permanent SC members? The number of vetoes used by america dwarfes that of other members!

Do you know how many times america has used its veto power? If you did you obviously wouldn't make such comments.

Cvele

USA and EU cant solve this issue without RUSSIA. U urself said it was a superpower. So if the choice is Russia or Kosovo, which do you think they will choose? As for Kosovo being an EU problem thats propaganda and lies. If sovereignty is in question then it concerns all 197 recognised countries and not just the ones geographically close. In that case US cannot say anything about Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and so on. Because georgraphically they are not their problem. In fact it was Russians and French that invested in many of those areas and did US care? NO! Because Russia was unable to react do to no funds. Now the situation is, Russia has plenty of cash, while US cant fund its current operations. EA there will be no independence because Russia doesnt want u to have it.

EA

pre 16 godina

There would never be an agreement between the Kosovar Albanians and Serbia when it comes the "SOVEREIGNITY".
At least Russia or any other country should not veto a UN Security Council Resolution. Firstly Kosova is mainly European issue and Russia has not troops or hasn't made any investment in Kosova. The threat of veto mean would mean arrogance and "show off" of being a superpower. The USA and Europe should sort this issue despite any Russian objection.
