Kosovo crisis spills to football

Here is another reason why Kosovo should get its independence. Not only that Serbia doesn't recruit Kosovar players but they are doing everything in their power to stop them play with their own team. Give me a brake; enough is enough.

Someone pls explain me what has football to do with independence? As far as I'm concerned, there are half a dozen national teams of non independent entities, N. Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Faroer Isles playing in both World cup and European qualifications, sometimes with excellent results. Does this attutide of the Serb side indicates the realt extension of the "substantial", "large", "largets-in-the-world" autonomy they prospect for Kosovo? Don't mix football and politics, please. Be rational, football is only a game (and a big business).

A serbs worst nightmare is seeing a powerful Kosova. It looks that nightmare is coming true every day.

Kosova doesnt need to have a NATIONAL team. Because Kosova is part of Albania and their national team is the Albanian one. We already have 30% of the albanian football players from Kosova. The captain of the redandblacks of Albania is Lorik Cana, from Gjakova. Other kosovar players of the official albanian team are Arian Beqaj, Armend Dallku, Debatik Curri and Besart Berisha. Kosova is just an our region. So, we are glad Serbia doesnt see them as its part when it comes to football. They are ours. Kosova is ours.

This is against international rules and if they are allowed to play so should a lot of other teams from unrecognised provinces. Thus this team should be put back into its place. Although just keep our cool and let all these provocations pass. So might as well let that be the breaking of the UN resolution 1244 by US and pristina regime. Then we can officialy blame them for ignoring our sovereignty and basically declaring a war on us. Play it smart.

I could understand the oposition of political movements, but this is a cultural, sports activity, fitness and joy.

These people have to represent themselves somehow like the rest of the world, have to feel the joy that football brings to every other Balkanian heart.

This is so sad...not only for Albanians, but for the common Serbians that live under this cast of "people". With these actions they break those last "ties", peaceful factors like sports, that can easily re-establish relations between our nations after all this mess is over. This is so sad...

FSS may let you play a few friendly games here and there (to try and agrivate Serbs) but they are not stupid to allow u into FIFA OR UEFA. For that you will need our blessing. Otherwise, they will be hearing from all countries that do not recognise ur unilateral indepenence. They most certainly do not want that. This ofcourse goes for UN, and all other international organisations. Lest they want to hear from countries like Russia, China, Indonesia, Serbia, Greece, Romania, Slovenia, Belgium, South Afrifca, and so on and so on.

Serbian under 21 team has a player called Miralem Sulejmani from Kosovo. It shows that anyone can play in Serbian team as long as they behave like part of the Serbian national team, NOT Albanian national team. The problem with Kosovo Albanians is that they do not want to play nor be part of Serbian life, culture nor sports. I guarantee you that Serbia would gladly take Albanian alliance and would embrace it. Dont forget Dino Serbia also has a minister in the parliament who is of Croatian decent so please stop with your accusations that Serbs are racist or whatever you want to claim. Let me see a Serb in the Croat parliament, then you might have a reason to open your mouth.

Well....Serbia has offered Kosovo to represent itself in all the international organisation but UN. What is this now??? Besides, FFS is only giving its best shot, since Kosovo is represented in many sport institutions (Handball, Boxing... and a few other i cant recall).
Why doesn't FFS invite Kosovo teams to play with the serbian teams???

Sports and Politics shouldnt cross its ways, why is Serbia so affraid if we play against other nations, why doesnt Serbia recruit Kosovar players who many of them play for the major leauges in Europe. Most propably scared...

Miralem Sulejmani who plays for Serbia is a Gorani by the way, in case any of you don't know a slav not an Albanian. Gorani's often have Albanian sounding names.

Joining as a regional team (like Scotland) is no problem.
