albanians:

what is your imminent goal prosperity or economic struggle?

Let's say you pick prosperity:

(1) what if you pressed for leadership change, and instead of ex-war-hawks analogous to those of Mladic, and Milosevic to name a few, you named Europe-oriented people with no blood on their hands

(2) Take full autonomy from Serbia as offered on the condition of Serbia's immediate cooperation with Hague and make an agreement to enter the European Union as an autonomous province of Serbia within Europe. That way Kosovo and its inhabitants will be protected by the European Union values and bound inside a stronger and more stable organization.

This way there will be no war,
no uncertainty and only the outlook of prosperity.

Also spare one the arguments of having the same occur under
Kosovo's own flag, knowing that Serbia and possibly others will cut off diplomatic ties, create great uncertainty , possibly another war, and best achieve far-from-Europe Bosnian status-quo.

Ratko,
I thought you are as tolerant as Mlladic. You said that you don't want a cm from the Serbian land. It is the land that you are more interested not in people living in. I am sure that noone takes any notes of your comments. With your mentality Serbia will be left only with Belgrade.

Loui,

That might be a win-win for you. But not for me and 2 million Albanians. The only win-win is meter per meter territory exchange. Some parts of North Kosova for Presevo Valley. We, and the western democratic world will never allow Kosova to be devided according to the Serbian plan. The only peaceful way is a fair exchange.

Here is the plan the EU should adopt in order to put this Kosovo issue out of its misery.Firtly, in 2008 Albania,Macedonia,Montenegro and Croatia all become members of NATO.Serbia and Bosnia do not.Secondly,Serbian citizens of Greek,Romanian,Bulgarian and Albanian ethnicity man the custom posts/borders between Serbia(Kosovo)and Albania-Macedonia-Montenegro.Thirdly,each individual in Kosovo can hold either a Serbian passport or an Albanian one.Euro is the official currency and Albanian,Serbian and English the official languages.NATO soldiers/police/administratorsfrom Greece,Romania and Bulgaria(Orthodox countries) guard Serb areas and NATO administrators/police/soldiers from Germany,UK,France,Italy administer Albanian areas. All 6 Balkan countries get admitted to the EU in 2010 with special provisions in place in regards to unfulfilled conditions. The extremists can never be pacified but this plan would be beneficial for the majority of people who want a better standard of living as opposed to pseudo symbols. The Albanian flag is really beautiful so why invent a Kosova one?The Albanian identity is very strong so what is the need for a Kosova one?English and the euro are the future for the Balkans and not silly new symbols.Shalom

Kosova's territory should not be devided otherwise we have to look into Presevo Bujanovc and Medvegja to join Kosova. Then big issues will emerge about Macedonia and so on. Kosova should be independent, supervised, and the Friendship offer from Kosova should be accepted by the Serbian government as a way forward.

Clear perspective for Serbia in the European Union?
Now there are other options on the table. We should not listen to anyone, but decide for ourselves, when the time comes. For now, let's just keep all our options open.

"The Eu fully supports the work of the Contact Group mediating Troika",these were almost the exact words when they were talking about Mr.Marti Ahtisaari and look what happened!!!
I am not optimistic at all about the future talks as both parties are miles away from each other when it comes to making a compromise!
North of Ibar to get their independence and the rest of Kosovo to get a full independence!
This is my win-win!!!
