Ruecker: Don't adopt "Ahtisaari laws"

I am having a field day. Do you really beleive that what SRSG said publicly he meant the same in private. Behind close doors he is telling Kosova Govermant to go ahead wityh these legislation and have them in place but this is only public stunt, nothing else. Wait till he goes in the fron of UNSC to report(quarterly report) and you will hear what he has to say.

Note that the master has spoken.
Look at your future, Albanians who live in Kosmet. There is your "independence".

UNMIK - stating the clear fact that PISG cannot do anything without their acceptance.

Thus equally without a new resolution UNMIK is obligated to nullify any illegal unilateral declarations that some still belive will happen on the 10th December as they did belive in 99,00,01,02,03,04,05,06 and Santa Claus!

as far as i can see the wheels of the train are flying forward independence, law, institutions, law enforcement,public and economic sector is having a new facelift in kosovo.
China can use their veto on taiwan, russia on chechnya, usa in middle east, and EU will overtake kosovo for fuller advancement in developing it.
We all know the gold up north is the real value serbia is fighting for, but not even that will slip in your hand, i bet the EU has other plans for it, it would be crazy to think that all the other party's have forgotten about that.
And Taras you can call kosovo lala-land if it makes your frustration dissolve quicker, but you are very right it will be independent from Serbia first than oppression second.

3 out of 20 laws from the Ahtisaari package are already being discussed and are set to pass today...with many others to follow in the upcoming weeks.

Guys you seem to misunderstand the situation. All Rucker is trying to do is rein in the K-Albanian parliament and tell them to be patient for the sake of appearances. After all it would not do for them to actually implement the Ahtisaari package without at least "exhausting" the "negotiations" till December 10th. It would make a mockery of the negotiations, if you know what I mean.

Nice of his to provide 'advice' to the part of Kosovo's population that he supports.

I truly wish that he would support the interests of Serbs as well as Albanians. But that would be asking too much.

This Ahtisaari is a complete waist of time!

Everyone you are forgetting that any laws or declaration must be approved by the UNMIK chief you can say all you want and do behind closed doors but no laws are to be adopted or voted on Ruecker has spoken and is done.

This is bad news. Kosova may not get independence :( Why not put laws into effect if you are going to declare unilaterally.

Jovan you Serb camp are, didn't you last label him a racist and blah blah, I saw how many of you ran your mouth against him about some invistigation towards him--now I see you are calling him the "master". Someone is getting very very nervous, and it's not the Kosovars.

What gives anyone the right to come in to a home a rob it?
That's exactly what the US wants to do.
The real reason US is fighting in Iraq is oil. We know that. Another attack on a sovereign country to steal it's resources is not going to be tolerated again.

You also state that China can veto for Taiwan etc. China and Russia can veto anything they want in the UN. It is their right. They will veto independence for Kosovo too.
