dear Benar, although you´re sitting over there in London, you seem not to know that that land never was yours...

you still seem to believe in the illyrian myth..

you can go on believing it, or go to a public library in London and educate yourself on some non-albanian sources!

you´ll be surprised what you will learn!

I´ll give you a little hint: todays Albanians have no connection to the ancient Illyrians, I know, you´d love to be their descendant, ..but you simply aren´t.

Jovan,

I completely agree with you, "..but land stolen from another is not yours just becuase you say so.." and I am glad at least you understood this fact. This what we are saying too, trying to explain to others and this why Kosova should and will get indipendence.

Its so comical: No economy, no army, and most importantly, no title to the land. The only way to void Serbia's claim to the land is via the UN, or if Serbia should decide to give the land away, which no self respecting Serb will ever do.

I feel really bad for the Albanians who are being used by Ceku and who cannot deliver the essentials for his own province, much less any semblance of an functioning and independent state.

All of you who think Cheku is bluffing, you are sadly mistaken. He is deadly serious about turning KOSOVA into an Independent Republic. Also some of you who have been saying that US and EU may have a second thoughts, that's your wishful thinking. I doubt Mr. Cheku would gamble that forcefully if he didn't have any assurances from US, GB, France, Italy and most of the EU members.

My Serbian friends, You had a chance at Swaping some land, however, as they say "you insist on everything end up with nothing."

PRISTINA, Kosovo: Expectations here for an independent Kosovo, often dashed in the past, are on the rise again, as the world powers that will help determine the province's fate are again pushing to separate it completely from Serbia despite continued resistance from the Serbs and their allies, the Russians.

^^^ NOTICE the "PRISTINA, kosovo"

also "European Union officials appear to be running out of patience with Russia, which has resisted efforts to grant Kosovo independence from Serbia."

OK, and then what? What will happen after the declaration? Let me guess, there will be electricity 24-7 and the economy will be booming. Overnight, riggt?

"Ruecker added that the "most important result" of last week's talks between Belgrade, Priština and the Troika teams in New York was the Contact Group's "reiterated position that Kosovo's status will be determined in line with the will of the majority in the province."

I am not aware that the Contact Group specifically emphasized this point. Refer to http://www.consilium.europa.eu/uedocs/cms_Data/docs/pressdata/en/declarations/96187.pdf

What was emphasized was that "Contact Group Guiding principles should
continue to set the framework for status process, based on UNSC Resolution 1244"

what should also be important is for your country to be recognized the world (un), which it never will be (legally).

i also plan to declare myself king of independant srpska kanada on dec. 11th... my country will consist of my house, front & back yards. there is clearly a serbian majority as only my sister who was born in canada is not 'serbian' but canadian.

i will also get my buddies to recognize it & then start building up my revenues by trafficking drugs/women into the rest of canada & north america since i have no industry or means to run an economy. the foreign investments can come from the rest of my criminal friends.

hmmm i wonder how far i'll get...

Again, what's the point of having these talks if Agim is just going to stick out his middle finger to the world on December 10, knowing full well he has Washington's ill-planned support behind him? Why even feel the need to compromise on anything? Just ride it out, make the declaration, have Washington recognize, and sucks to be anyone else, right? I mean Pristina has basically been doing it its own way irregardless of international law since 1981, what's to stop them now?

it will indeed be interesting to see how Germany will react...

since they are keen on keeping Russia aboard...

and since they are openly opposing the US in the last years, not only in regard to the war against Iraq...

let´s see what happens! Serbia is prepared for all eventualities, I guess.

The independence of Kosova is a done thing. Before 10, after 10, between 10 and 20 December, who really cares. Now it's a matter of weeks, and that's what's important.

Early next year? Is there an echo in here or am i the only one hearing it? This sounds just like 99,00,01,02,03,04,05,06 and '07. But let me guess, this time its for REAL!?!?
