Ida, "Florence Hartman is married to a Croat, so she'd be biased most of all towards them."

This is unclear. Many Serbs were against Milosovic, so much so that there was a revolution. If someone is married to a Serb, does that mean that they supported Milosovic and are against all judgements against him? No. Just as we are unsure of the political views of her husband, we are unsure of her biases.

@Agim, what has that to do with the article? I always read your comments and try to read them carefully as so to try to understand what you mean. But slowly the light is going out with what you write.

there are no Florence Hartmann´s needed to probe NATO for it´s illegal aggression "on behalf of human rights"!

we all know that they used depleted uranium shells, that they bombed hospitals and schools, and even fleeing Albanian civilians, and afterwards called it "collateral damage"

what is a shame ..is that some Albanians didn´t care about that, they were only glad that NATO bombed Serbia, without thinking of those Albanians killed by NATO...
real patriots...right?

as I said, there is enough evidence to let you all shiver...
so, relax...this is nothing completely new.

Florence Hartman is married to a Croat, so she'd be biased most of all towards them. Because Gotovina's on trial, I'm sure she'd like to threaten Americans because they'd made deals with the Croats and worked together on Operation Storm.

Well, Karla was ready to probe NATO?

Really, well I didnt have to have all the evidence in front of me to know that dropping cluster bombs in civilian areas, the bombing of civilian buildings and the bombing of bridges with passenger trains going across, is something worth investigating.

Propoganda books or not you could watch western tv to know that not all was well with NATO tactics and conduct. Cases should have been made and questions answered about the conduct of war - if for no other reason than to try to keep civilian deaths down to a minimum in similar operations (never mind the concept of justice / fairness).

Nevertheless, we should read this as Hartmann's attempt to tell us in code that Karla wasnt happy about NATO's approach to war but that she was sent signals that an investigation must not be conducted. It shows that Del Ponte did / does have some good in her but ultimately was not able to be independent.

I would not at all be surprised if Del Ponte has a lot to say when her contract expires in December.

Those "propaganda books" that Milosevic submitted had the names of the victims, the date and time of the bombing, and the locations where the bombs fell.

Del Ponte had all the information she needed to start an investigation.

Nobody expects her to believe something just because it is written in a book, but she at least had an obligation to investigate what the books said. Especially since the information in the books was so explicit and easy to checkout.

Del Ponte didn't probe NATO because she didn't want to probe NATO.

There may be some Agim, being that Kosovo-Metohija is a Serbian province. What is your point? Is your question another attempt to portray the K_Albanians as victims again? You guess never stop.

I sincerely hope the book will be translated into english so many more can read about the experiences of Florence Hartmann. She has had access to many interesting informations and truly, coming international interventions should be guided by the mistakes from the past and not continue the same pattern of IGNORANCE,LACK OF CULTURAL RESPECT and NATIONAL NEPOTISM.

Two words in this article are of great importance; " Propaganda books". I wonder how many similar books regarding Koosva are in archives in Serbia.

"Former Hague spokesperson Florence Hartmann says Carla Del Ponte was ready to probe NATO for bombing Serbia."

In particular she should probe those "collateral damages" -- what a fancy name for innocent civilian deaths!
