I was told by one my buddys the Kosovo situation is unique and after thinking about this it is true. Now we have Presevo deal. This should also emcompass this as well WRONG ANSWER. If you want to live in Serbia then live there if not then leave for the new state of kosovo. If they want to build a military base there then they build it. Stablity of the presevo area will only be effected by the coming from Kosovo side to stir up trouble.

I got to know many Poles while visiting various restaurants in London and found them likable. Although the telegraph in “Foreigners commit fifth crime in London” has put poles top of the list that doesn’t provide any inference that Poles are endemic criminals.

Given the fact that Kosovo is special case under UN administration I strongly believe that the only viable solution for Kosovo is supervisory independence with strong guarantees for minority rights. In addition Preshevo Valley should enjoy the same rights as the Serbs do under Ahtisaari’s plan.

An excellent idea, JM. The Serbians should allow the Russians to build a few "Bondsteels" of their own in Southern Serbia. It would be a good security measure should Albanians try and grab more land.
Belgrade IS concerned with the valley, that's why it is channeling money down to create jobs there. But due to the instability of the region caused by the militant Albanians dream of Greater Albania, it is hard to convince investors. Albanians in the south have the choice between Albanian nationalism and the democracy of Serbia.

Are you kidding? There hasn't been any investment in this aerea by the Serbian government for 45 years. If you see any little progress made is done by Albanian private businesses and USAID who has fixed few roads.
I just pray that no greater Albania forms in the future, they are completely unable to run a state. Everywhere you see Albanians, there is crime and poverty. While Serbia is not a rich country, it definitely is able to function on its own, and I think that these Valley Albanians should take advantage of the fact that they are a part of a functioning state.
