The Hague Tribunal is irrelevant. It's just politics and everybody knows it.
Look at what happened in the wake of the Milosevic trial.
Florence Hartmann is accusing Geoffrey Nice of being an MI6 agent after Nice accused del Ponte of covering-up evidence.
The entire prosecution staff are pointing their fingers at one another and accusing eachother of acting out of political motivation.
It's ironic that they're accusing themselves of the same thing that Milosevic accused them of all along: playing politics with the trial.
The Tribunal's credibility is less than zero. Truth and justice haven't got a chance at an institution where politics is king. How can anybody take an institution seriously when everybody who works there is accusing everybody else of subversive political activity?
Based on just the accusations that have been thrown around by the ICTY staff -- it is entirely possible that Limaj was acquitted because either the judge(s) or the prosecutor was working for a foreign government that didn't want to convict him.
Historians are going to see all of this, and the Hague Tribunal will be placed in the same league as the Star Chamber, and the Stalinist show trials of the USSR.
I don't care what the ICTY judgement says. They don't have the right to judge Limaj, or Haradinaj. Or for that matter Karadzic or Mladic.
