There seems to have been an upsurge in violence in Albanian majority areas in the region in recent days.

However, I dont think it is particularly connected to the status question. Having said that I think these type of incidents will sadly become the norm.

Kosovo is full of weapons. It is no surprise that punks will use them. NATO/UN troops have done a fantastic job of disarming Kosovo.
