Nothing like modesty! Don't forget that I only agreed with this one small comment you made, nothing more.

In the thousands? C'mon nikshala, you're a more level-headed fellow than that. I'd expect that from some of the angry Albanian nationalists on this site. There will be people on both sides who will get away with it because they were soldiers. We're going after the top brass here.

I have to wonder why Holland is doing this to this man, when there are so many other ex-KLA and criminals wanted by Serbs running there and all over, and usually Serbia's demands are ignored - they had one for Agim Ceku but he was promoted as a leader by the U.S.

So I'm wondering if this guy has been involved in illegal activities and troublemaking in Holland and that's why they are getting rid of him.

I notice in Bosnia, the Bosnian Muslims will jail a Muslim for war crimes over Serbs if he is already being jailed for crimes against Muslims after the war.

I feel real sorry for Serbs that see the realty and wish to go on and start changing their image on the world, beacause in the world your name is still as Dictators. I think you should all help to your politicans so they can give up Kosovo, otherwise the Kosovo-Albanians have nothing to loose accept Kosovo so they will never give up it's their home and they will never be again masacered or tourtured by or govnered by anyone accept Kosovars. When its the Serbs will never join the europe, or have any good relations with most of the world. Live the peace and give Kosovo up cos otherwise you will never will!! Have a nice day

Kate,

did you notice the # of people who agree with my opinion? You're not the first and you won't be the last. What I have been writing on this forum for months is in close equation with common sense, honesty, and intelligence.

Discussion and communication are the best avenues if people or nations share the aim of reconciliation and a better understanding.

Any Warrant issued by MUP of serbia is not valid. How soon do you forget that warrants were issued against Next PM Hshim Thaqi and present PM Agim Ceku, and they were not honored by other countries. PM Ceku even traveled to Moscow and why Russia did not arrest him based on warrant from MUP?

I agree with Victor (hell just froze over!). Whatever transpires, there must be reconcilliation between the people.

The UN should have been helping with this through education, return of refugees, community building etc. They have not helped one jot on this front, and I am certain that it was to keep the door open for independence. Now they are stuffed and as usual the people will suffer.

Nikshala - unfortunately, when Ceku announces unilateral declaration of independence, it will have no legal grounding, even if the EU and USA recognise Kosovo, therefore you can issue as many arrest warrants as you like but they will have no legal validity, and as such no countries impartial legal system will enforce them.

On the other hand, Serbia being a legal entity can pursue all the KLA criminals it wishes to prosecute.

Have a nice day.

Once the albanians/kosovars - whatever they wish to be called today, stop hiding behind their UNMIK passports, the world will see the grave error that the UN made.

The arrests could start with Ceku.

Not 40 years, but LIFE IN PRISON! We all know the gruesome crimes committed by the UCK on Serbs.

The UCK is a terrorist oraganisation, everyone knows it. Wansn't it on the american terrorist list???? Oh ya but when american insterests are at stake then nothing matters and they can do what ever they want.

This news is on a KLA soldiers arrested becasue of a warrant issued by serbian authorities. If that the case that every KLA soldier who might have been involved in some crime, should be arrested because serbian authorities have issued an arrest warrant, then its only fair the Kosovo does the same thing.

However, it should be up to the Hague tribunal to issue arrest warrant for war criminals, in both sides, and not serbian authorities.

kate

Nikshala - and what about arrest warrants for Albanians who committed war crimes? Or will they be immune in your new system of law?

Plus '1000s' of Serbs from the small community left there are hardly likely to be war criminals. Or do you think that the whole community should just be stigmatised?

Sounds wonderful, a real multi-ethic haven.

Rokka

pre 16 godina

Oh yes, nikshala. Only Serbs are murderers and all albanians are saints, thats how it goes. I think all the sides in Kosovo conflict share their fair amount of atrocities. And the fact that serbs committed atrocities, doesn't justify atrocities committed by albanians. All suspected war criminals should be tried and convicted if found guilty...

Victor

pre 16 godina

nikshala,

I would suggest that Kosovo Albanians start with its own war criminals... because there are many just as well.

If you want real peace to come in Kosovo, you'll all have to worth on the reconciliation process between Serbs and Albanians, otherwise war would start again in 25 years.

Stevo

What about any Albanians who may have commited crimes in Kosovo province? Do they get arrested or do they, like Agim Ceku, get some veneer of respectability by being allowed to meet Western politicians and negotiate - if "negotiate" is the right word for the current round of so-called talks where Albanians are encouraged to dig in their heels by America and not negotiate - instead of being locked up for life for his crimes?

village-bey

I have to disagree with you on this Nick. Apart from the grave cases, both states need to grant general amnesties in order to move forward.

nikshala

Once Kosovo gets independence, it should issue arrests warrants for all serbs that commited crimes in Kosovo, and believe they will be in thousands.
