I am also sorry that Fatos, KS , and avi seem utterly unable to see that Serbs too were victimized and that most of their Kosovo Serb neighbors were ethnically cleansed by the Albanian extremists. B92 allows comments like #2 which is clearly slander and extremely anti-Serb but won't allow me to criticize a mosque being built in Serbia. Make your own conclusions to why this is!

You failed to mention that the Serbs were the aggressors in all four wars of the 1990's. There was an ill conceived arm emargo against the Bosnian Muslims by the West. Serbia,however, managed to lose all four wars. The overwhelming number of atrocities were commited by the Serbs against unarmed civilians. Until Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo were able to put armies together, the Serbs had been on a rampage against their neighbors, one after another. This is the plain truth. Please do not try to spread the blame evenly. The overwhelming evidence is against your spurious claims!

The Bosnian Serbs fought for the same self-determination as the Croats and Muslims and today have their own nation. And one rightly deserved.
They have every right to demand self-determination, especially in light of the extreme anti-Serb sentiment coming almost daily from the Bosnian Muslims and Croats.
Their fight led to the preservation of the Serbian community in Bosnia. Without the brave defense of their communities, there would be no Serbs in Bosnia today.
The Serbian people have paid for their nation with blood and sacrifice and that sacrifice has earned them the right to live as they wish, in their own homeland.,
It is only fair being that Kosovo has been a part of Serbia for centuries, while Bosnia-Herzegovina was only created in 1878 and, one might say, artificially by the Berlin Congress.
Nonetheless, people who live there, in both instances, should be deciding their faith, not some politicians from far away.
My sympathy goes to Leonard, this victim of false propaganda, who spits out critisism about Rep. Srpska when he cannot even spell the name.
Lets all pray for the minds of the poor european people who were helpless in this false media storm during the yugoslavian civil wars.
Most of them seem to be in good shape now except just few of them, just like this leonard, still suffers from false propaganda.

Less then 5% of Serbs are left in Kosovo. While RS is run by elected officials Kosovo is run by a regime that has PERSONALLY CLEANSED AND FUNDED MURDER RAPE AND TORTURE.
It may very well, Lenard, it may merge with Serbia proper. At that point, the Croat areas will merge with Croatia - then the muhajadeens can have the remainder of Bosnia to play their terrorist games and be free to plot their next atrocities on Europe.

Leonard, All sides participated in ethnic cleansing. Stop being so rigteous. War is brutal and every side will defend their own territory and people. Atrocities have been commited by all sides so by your definition Bosnia shouldn't exist and Croatia shouldn't exist either. You can't have it all.

that's what should happen in Bosnia separation republica srpska with Serbia and in krajina in croatia the Serbs should be able all to return to their homes they were there for centuries so that's Serbian land also so they should have wide autonomy in krajina.
It is interesting to see how many people so quickly denied wrong doing by the Republika Srpska, or defelected attention to Kosovo.
Nevertheless, there are several problems to RS joining Serbia. Most important would be Sarajevo's reaction. Do you think Sarajevo would lay there and take it like a starfish? What about parts of RS that still have sizeable Bosniak populations, places such as Srebrenica? I don't think they would, how to put it...go easily?

God Almighty, how many times does it have to be spelled out to you? The only countries that support Kosovo indpendence are the US, UK and France. The African Union has come out against it, so has South America and the vast majority of UN General Assembly. Even the big powerful Muslim states like Iran, Syria, Egypt, Indonesia and Turkey are against it for very practical and pragmatic reasons. Kosovo will not be independent ad finitum.
I have still to be convinced by a logical argument from the Albanian irredentists here on why Kosovo should have the right to seceede from Serbia and not RS from BiH.
Ron, if so than I can recommend to you to stay aside and try to find out what is your own real problem... There are a lot of people from Albanian and Serbian side, neutral ones and people who knows the real Kosovo context who can deal with this issue without being so emotional and hopelessness...
All posters here knows the real context of BiH and Kosovo. All what is needed is to be realistic and compare position of Kosovo in ex Yu constitution and try to find there something like 'Republika Srbska'..., there is not... Clear, isn't it?!?!?!
How can BiH people, especially its leaders think still about such comparisons and paralels?!?!?!
I would more than support Serb Republic's move if the Bosnian Government tried to ethnically clean that region from Serbs.

I am sorry for the Albanian and other victims of the Milosevic regime.
I am also sorry that Fatos, KS , and avi seem utterly unable to see that Serbs too were victimized and that most of their Kosovo Serb neighbors were ethnically cleansed by the Albanian extremists. Apparently, you could not care less about those people or about the victimization of the Serbs in Croatia and Bosnia -- in the 1990s and 1940s.
Fatos, Bosnian and Croatian Serbs lost at least 15% of their population during 1940s, and Kosovo Albanians lost less than 1% during the 1990s. While both numbers are horrible, if the right to secede is based on the level of victimization, then the Serbs of Bosnia and Croatia have 15 times more right to secede than Kosovo Albanians do.
What right do you have to demand the respect for your own victims -- and I do respect them, as all victims should be respected -- while denying or ridiculing the victimization of the innocent on the other side?
JoJo.Hundres of thousands of Serbs were expelled from Croatia. Expelling them wasn't enough so Croatia had to send in planes to bomb the refugees as they tried to leave. Please don't tell me that attrocities were not commited on the Serbs. Put your bias aside and the propaganda war waged against the Serbs and you might get some facts right. What happened to all the Serbs that were expelled from Kosovo? Serbs haven't been able to return to their homes whether they be in Croatia or Kosovo.
Krajina was practically cleansed of Serbs. Do we reward this sort of ethnic cleanising? Yes we do if the mighty US says we do. Do we spread propaganda do further our own goals. Yes, we do when the goals are of the US and the people they support.
I wouldn't put too much stock in what the US says. Just because they back one side against the other doesn't mean it's justice. It is only politics.
Maybe you should see a documentary bye John Pilger titled "The War on Democracy" and see how the US propaganda machine works when they want to overthrow governments that don't subordinate themselves to them.
The arms embargo was a joke. The Bosnian Muslims had quite a bit of help from their Arab friends. Arms, weapons, man power, whatever was needed. The Bosnian Muslims didn't have links to Al-Qaeda for nothing.
The propaganda machine from America was in overdrive and still is. Turning a blind eye to the attrocities commited by the Bosnian Muslims and Croatians and concentrating on demonizing the Serbian side.
There are many articles written by independent journalists to support this.
If you can put your bias aside for a while you will be able to open your eyes to the truth.
Listen to what Noam Chomsky has to say on that subject. How about John Pilger too? Even General L. McKenzie has a different view of things. When he couldn't get the truth out Gen. McKenzie wrote a book about what was happening during that war.
The books is called "Peacekeeper, The road to Sarajevo". I suggest you put some credibility in the people I just quoted instead of the State Department alone.
Dodik is of course right, however he has to be diplomatic, the US Ambassador is the real arbiter in "Bosni" at least in the so called Federation which already fractured beyond repair. The Croats and Muslim Bosniaks (sic) live apartheid lives. It is about time the So called International Community realised Bosna is a dead duck.
