what were the Albanians doing at a match between CRoats and Serbs ?

Ida -the reason that there were albanians at a game between Serbia and croatia is that albanian soccer is just not good enough for them to have their own team.

Victor & lola, perhaps you are right but you cannot change it, that in US you have German, Russian, Mexican, Polish, Serbian, Croatian and other soccer (football) club. And there is nothing wrong with that.

There was nothing wrong that Serbs were chanting Serbia. Is anything wrong when fans of White Sox chant anything (if not insulting to others) in support of their players?

The Albanians came to stir up trouble and push their politics. There were no Albanians playing on the field so why were they there? Serbs don't go to boring Albanian games.

I live in Chicago. I will give you the details. The game was held at the Chicago Fire stadium in Suburban Chicago. It was the Illinois State Club Soccer team Final, winner goes on to nationals. The Serb and Croat fans were fine with each other as there are a lot of friends amongst everyone. Most people going to the game were not born in Serbia. Albanians, for some reason came, although I never see Albanians anywhere in Chicago and they caused all the problems. The Croats don't even like them

I was at the game and I was very dissappointed with the brawl. Serbs initiated the conflict because they were down 2-0. It seems that none of you know much about soccer and the fact that nationalisem is brought with it at games.
The reason why there were albanian fans and flags was because Adria's superstar player (Arsim #10) is an Albanian and he has been carring this team for years. I could easily say that he is a soccer here here in chicago to the Croation and Albanian cummunities.
I'm not sure I follow what a lot of you are saying; going off topics, starting political depates. A flag is just a flag and you can carry it anywhere. This is not ROME, this America, and we have a freedom of expression here. The serbs can sing nationalistic songs, but the Albanians can't show support to their players. Hijacking of two TWA jets 1976 and the list goes on. As for albanians, well this need no intruduction. Most recent terrorist attack was in New Jersey Fort Dix! Not to mention all the terror that Serbs are still living with in Kosovo.

You don't chant "independent Kosovo" at a soccer game, especially when the teams are Serbian and Croation, and not Albanian. So what if you have one Albanian player on the field? Does that mean that the game should now become a stage to push political agendas? BTW, Kosovo is not lost. You can find it on any map of Europe as Serbia's southern province.

WOW, tell me more! Im really interested how the albanians got there flag back when I witnessed it get burned. So can you please stop with your lies, nobody took a Serbian flag at or after the game. But again ONLY 4-5 serbs walked over to the croat/albanin side and took the flag. Anybody who was there knows thats the truth, the whole thing the hyped up. the 2 main sides didnt clash but they almost did.... Basically 5 serbs went against 1,000 adria fans, and got the flag then they called the game

Furthermore, in diaspora its not unusuall for the "italian", "greek", 'serbian", "croatian" team to have other 'minorites' as players ('Macodonans', 'Albanians','Bulgairan', ect...) who then go and support that team.
In other words, i susspect that Adria had at LEAST one Alabanian player in a team, hence thats why there were Albainas (same reason Serbs watch NBA , for example, when Divac was there)

Yeah, that's the croat's version. The croatian team had a very immature player who scored their 1st goal, and came in front of the Serbian fans, gave us the bird, and crossed himself. That's what started the sparks!!
