KFOR pledges to secure peace

Defanse Minister must have seen the press conferance yesterday with CAMKFOR and his coment that Serbia better not even think about any military adventures in Kosova again.

Agim Elshani, don't fool yourself. Serbia will send in their armed forces in a second if illegal unilateral independence is declared and the security of Serbian citizens is threatened. And sir don't forget that they have the law on their side that clearly states they can do so and they have both Russia and China covering their backs. What's NATO going to do with their 16,000 soldiers, fight the Serbs illegally? I don't think so, what's America going to do Bomb Serbia illegally? I don't think so, is America going to wage war against Serbia alone and because its upset about not being successful in illegally stealing land? Remember Bush must going in front of Congress and sell his idea of war against Serbia before he tries it and trust me my friend, I know better than you because I live here in Canada and not there in the Balkans there is no chance US Congress will approve another war against the Serbs, and even if they did the USA does not have the man power to fight it since 90% of its strength is already in Iraq and Afghanistan.

NATO is prepared - there will be no 2004 again! Remeber that NATO are present and legitamised on the basis of 1244 - which reaffirmed Serbia's sovereignity over it's province. Prepare yourself for Autonomy - nothing more nothing less and accept the state you are in

US has only like 1500 or (10%) troops there, right?

At least some hope that there is proggres concerning Bg politicians. Kosovo can not be solved by military means, but that is only because the outcome would be devastating for Serbia.
But nonetheless, it is very good news that they have come around to realize the fact that they would lose (again)if they opted for this option. It is a clear signal that more realistic policies are being favoured and not more bloodshed is contemplated.
This would be a wake up call to Serbian extremists.

What would Kate, Princip, Bob, Cvele and other say should Serbia do the oposite by sending the army in the northern part of Kosova? Does Belgrade needs a warning by the NATO that if that happened it will be bombed again? I would like to hear your thoughts about all this.

Whoever read the comments made in here will conclude how different and extremely opposing views Serbs and Kosovar Albanians when it comes to the Status solution for Kosova. At least we have to agree on that conclusion.
President Ahtisari and his team realised that and spend more than one year to listen to the interested parties to find a common ground. He had a mandate from the UN go give recomandation for a REALISTIC solution. That is the supervised INDEPENDENCE. There will never be any compromise between Serbia and Kosova when it comes to INDENDENCE and sovereignity. Serbia has lost physically Kosova since 1999 and full stop and will never get it back. Serbia still might be dreaming of Yugoslavia but it doesnt exist anymore.

yep you have highlighted Ahmet's fantasy that one minute he is an American citizen and the next attending NATO press conferences - it does make any sane reader wonder where Ahmet might really be - a padded white cell possibly - who's to know in all reality! Ahmet even if you were present which one very much doubts you clearly miss the point of reading between the lines - Serbia does not need to send troop into Northern Kosovo & Metohija - I think you'll find the whole of it's province is would continue to remain sovereign and upheld as such by NATO even after any illegal unilateral declaration by a resigned Ceku. NATO prescence is legitamised by 1244 - thus NATO cannot act outside it without illigiamising their own prescence and that goes for the 1600 US troops. In any scenario where there is a illegal declaration the UN and all NATO countries will be obligated to nullify the agressive action and in not doing so will remove be like ripping up their own legitamacy and like I said everybody will be back to the 9th June 1999 - not something that I would like. Moreover, one need only look to the last time a Balkan nation forced it's soverignity - Croatia over RS Krajina - backed by the US. I repeat this is not the optimal solution on the contrary it is a lose-lose for all but it is the inevitable result of illegal actions that are now being promoteed by the ethnic-Albanians who falsely believe the US will come to their aid in achiving.

Wake up before it is too late and accept the state your in and make a better future for all in Serbia irrespective of ethnicity.

Ahmet i thought you lived in New York and have a business there. So you flew from New York to Pristina just for this news comference. Come on sir, you need to make up your mind either you live in New York or you are living in a fantasy world in Kosovo or Montenegro? Serbia is not going to invade Kosovo nor will the riots take place after Dec 10, remember Partnership for Peace do you want to see Serbian and Russian Forces invited to assist guarding the enclaves along with Nato Forces. I hope everyone remembers this, i hope cooler head prevail after Dec 10th.

Last time Serbia wondered looking for reincarnation of prince Lazar, 99 happened and you lost Kosova forever. When you talk about Tibet or Kurdistan my friend all you doing is mixing apples with oranges. Could you stay on the issue-Kosova instead of wandering through time and continents. Unless, of course you are still in remote dreams of the past or you care so much about the kurds. The later not even a two year old will buy.

I do not know what kind of newspapers you were reading about the 1999 defeat of Serb army, but just everyone knows that Serb army was surrendered and left Kosova with the tail between legs.

Kosova will be independent, get used to it. And, of course get used to the 2 Albanian states in the Balkans.
