Capital knows no borders and usually migrate where it can get the highest rate of return.However,Russian capital is ideal because their firms are interested in long term and not just quarterly profits as are most Western European ones.Russian money is great for Serbia and the more it can attract the better.

Well , you are about to say gooodbye to europe.Maybe your russian and chinese friends are better for you. I`ll visit my friends in Novi-Sad before they close the border!

What are you talking about? Russia and China are emerging superpowers. I just don't understand that rhetoric that the west is the way to go? Isn't Russian supplying the EU with gas? And today almost everything is made in China, so adrian how can you make a comment like that?

As American Ambassador has said, the future of Serbia is business. He is going to be happy that Djelic was an attentive listener.

Romania doesn't do anything for Serbs. Romania helped NATO and gave it use of their airspace to maim and kill Serbian civilians. Romania and Bulgaria prevented the Russian from making humanitarian flights to help the Kosovo Serbs after the war.

The EU is hateful to Serbs and harming them. Now they want to send back all the illegal immigrants to Belgrade and that includes Roma/Gypsies from Kosovo that were expelled under NATO/UN supervision. The EU only wants to take advantage of the Serbs and make them jump through hoops.

Russians are at least more honest and provide investment and aid with less strings attached. The Russians are not the Soviets of yesterday who were often non-ethnic Russians and atheists who were antagonistic towards Russians and the Orthodox.

Russia has paid off all the debt it inherited from the Soviet Union and is now a creditor country. They have vast natural resources and Serbia and Europe are already big customers of fuel and other commodities from Russia.

Well it`s not that simple.As your neighbour , beleive me i whish that Serbia gets as much investment it can. But if you team up only with Putin it will be difficult to us to have the good relasionship with you that we have right now. And it will be much more difficult for your country to join the EU
