Ahmet Isufi, this is what you have in Albanian-dominated Kosovo areas today, in Kosovska Mitrovica for example:

http://www.juliagorin.com/wordpress/?p=703

Such open idolatry to Adolph Hitler can not be found even in Brunau am Inn, the birthplace of Albanian idol.

The difference is that Austrians were partially denazified, while Albanians eagerly jumped into Boro &Ramiz fairy tale and got away with murder.

I can envision Serbia in EU and Kosovo having a future of Kuzey Kibris, a twilight zone area dominated by bigots and racists living in limbo.

Actually, one liberty of freedom of speech is doesn't matter how despicable it is, you are allowed to still do it, otherwise it would be called freedom of speech except for anything that offends anybody which is everything! In America you can hold a rally for anything you want, so what does Kosovo have more liberties than America now? I would like you to clarify your comments Ahmet.

Ahmed likes to troll here and is usually the first one to post whenever something goes wrong in Serbia proper, but he turns a blind eye to the fiasco in his own province.

Ahmed you should be more constructive here instead of just finger pointing. Why are all of your posts so negative? Do you really hate Serbs so much?

@Ahmet and some others
Can you please, please, please stop always to blame Serbs for things what happens ALL over the world? As you could read here there are Neo-Nazi's in Israel, there are in my country, Holland. They are ALL over the world. But, wait, they are not in Albania and in Kosovo. Correct. There is no need for that. First reason is there ae no jews anymore. The reason is not important at all. But there are none! So there is no reason for eo-Nazi's to be there.
We however are very aware of the crimes Albanians (K-Alb + Alb's)commit in the criminal organistaions dealing with human traficking. Raping, torturing, killing, etc. etc.

jews in kosovo:local jews,
they were mainly in mitrovica, some in ferizajand prizren. Many jews ,who came from serbia or austria and hungaria in kosova were brought by K.albanian to albania:Xhafer Deva despite the fact that he was a fascist insisted to have these jews treated as albanians and helped them join albania.
the jews from kosovo that had been deported in the death camps are unfortunatly from Mitrovica, and were brought from mitrovica to kosovo polje railway station after being handed over to germans by serbians(mitrovica during that period was not under albanian or italian rule but under serbian collaborationists rule).
As for the cooperation of albanians with Nazi,it never had the level of serbian collaboration with nazi! No camp death in albanian territories dozen of it in serbia, ruled by serbians; division skenderbeg was founded in the late 1944 and disbanded in early 1945,no more than 6 month! this is to compare with the serbian volunters corps, the shumadija korps and the ljotic mouvement etc...
So learn about your darck side before accusing albanians for the crimes your country committed as an occupied nation and that albania did not commit as an occupied nation!

It is shameful to allow a Neo-Nazi rally in Novi Sad, where in January 1942 Hunagarian Nazis threw 2000 Serbs and Jews into icy Danube river to drown and hunted Serbs and Jews like animals.

Shameful, but understandable-
now we have Neo-Nazis even in Israel. It would be really eye-opening to investigate who finances Stormfront and it's goons in Serbia. I guess it has to do with a network operated by a former Hungarian Nazi, member of Nylas.

I believe it should be banned on grounds of endangering public safety, not on grounds of free speech.

United States lecture Serbia on religious rights and use U.S. as a yardstick. It is an interesting question. Should Serbia copy the rest of American
First Amendment and allow Nazis to march, like they do in "the land of the free and the home of the brave"?

I don't think so. Sebia did not profit from financing Hitler and bringing Nazism to Europe like U.S. and thus has no reason to allow Nazis
any rights of free speech.

Speaking of Albania being righteous nation, it is mandatory to give credit where credit is due. Albanian was occupied by fascist Italy and fascists, unlike Nazis, were not bent on destroying Jews. Hence, many Jews survived in Italian occupied territories. Many Jews fled extermination in Croatia to safety of Italian zone. The same happened in Albania.

But not in Kosovo. Kosovo was not occupied by Italy and Kosovo Albanians were given free rein to exterminate Jews and Serbs.
They eagerly joined Waffen SS Division Skenderbeg.
Calling this appalling behavior "righteous" is a worst case of Nazi revisioniosm I have seen on this site, and I have seen a lot.

Mike: I agree that it is unproductive to 'point fingers' but I am responding in relation to the original comment by Ahmet which was provocative, incorrect and turning a subject which should be condemned by all into yet another anti-Serbian rant. Some things can't go unanswered, as you know yourself.

Here we go with the Holier Than Thou garbage, and the first salvo thrown is the impeccable "this would never happen in Kosovo". Just next door in Albania, opponents of the Berisha regime are constantly derided as "Jews" in the state-run press. Not too tolerant there, if you ask me. The point here is that every country has its share of kooks and nutcases, and if this thread is going to spill into another long tirade of Serbs blaming Albanians and Croats for collaborration, while Albanians continue with the ridiculous claim that all Serbs during WWII were eager to make Belgrade the first "Judenfrei" city (by the way, Albanians are the only people to push this), you are all missing the point of the article. We have Nazi marches right here in the good ol' US of A, and 99.5% of us think nothing of it. In fact, it's good to have these rallies in the sense it draws these people out into the public so the rest of us can see how utterly stupid they are. Banning it and making it taboo only adds to its appeal. Let them march in the name of free speech, and let them be seen as the idiots they are. But for anyone to say that "their" side is automatically better than the other just downright ignorant and stupid.

Afrim - I realise that this will disappoint you, but I learned my history from British text books.

The Jewish communities in Albania may have been protected during WWII, but the savagery I am referring to was against Serbs.

Are you saying that these terrible atrocities never took place? That Italian forces never had to restrain Albanian groups from their terrible attacks against Serbs?

That was still an act on behalf of the Nazis, as I said.

i don't know why they are doing this since many Serbs died in Nazi hands and Roma's and Jews. most are probably Hungarians anyway. and Albanians they were with the Nazis so i don't know what Ahmet Isufi is talking about he is playing like albanians are innocent but they are NOT.

What's the big fuss?

Kosovo's best buddy America has hundreds of Nazi and Ku Klu Klan rallies every year.

America is a leader in letting evil people do what they want. Just look at the mess they've made in Messopotania ;-)

Freedom of speech is one thing. Inciting racial hatred crosses the line. Shut the Nazis down or you'll be haunted by the ghosts of Chetnicks and Partizans who did the job in 1940-45.

KATE, i just would like to remind you that Albania is one of the righteous nations in the museum of Holocaust in Israel.
Also, Albania is the ONLY nation in Europe that had jews more after the WW2 than before it because a lot of jews from other european countries went to Albania and were saved there.
THis is not only said by the albanians but is accepted by the jews also. And this is one of the reasons why today jews are probably the greatest helpers of Kosova's Independence.
In USA it is the Jewish community-lobby who destroyed the attempts of Serb-Greek and russian lobbies who were against Kosova's Independence.
I am sorry for you KATE that you fell a victim of Milosevic Era Propaganda but I hope slowly and surely you will be enlighten with the reality.
Also, as far as minorities in Kosova, all other minorities are for Kosova's Independence ecxept the Serb minority but not all of them, lately a lot of them are accepting Kosova's Independence also because they are tired of being tools in the hands of Kostunica type people.

Ahmet: "There is one thing that you will never see or hear a Nazi rally anywehre in Kosova."

That's because virtually all the Jews and other 'minorities' (including Serbs) have already been pushed out from the province.

Why march for something that's already been achieved through this shameful period for Europe.

How can you be so smug about a Nazi march when Albania carried out so many atrocities on their behalf during WWII?! That was the real deal, not a bunch of bigots just looking for someone to hate.

mervin

It will be interesting to see how the Radical Party led Novi Sad authorities react to this building pressure.

Goes without saying that any nazi rally should be condemned.

kate

It should be banned as an incitement to hate and commit violence. How can the thugs who carry out xenophobic crimes against Roma, Jews and anyone else on the grounds of race and religion, realise how unacceptable their crimes are when Nazi rallies are allowed?

Send a message to the young people of the region and to the rest of Europe - Nazi rallies are not allowed to be held in any form in Serbia. This would also honour the memory of the generation who fought so bravely against them, and those who suffered so terribly because of them.
