DSS, Radicals talk cooperation?

So Kosovo has now become a political tool for DSS? I'm not surprised. It seems the DSS is secretly knowing that Kosovo is irredeemable and wants off this sinking ship fast. Worse, it seems to be trying to pin all responsibility for "losing" Kosovo on Tadic's DS.

The SRS is in a very strategic position right now. As the largest party in Serbia that is also not part of the ruling coalition, it can claim absolutely no responsibilty for losing Kosovo once the deal is done. The way in which Western voices, particularly from Washington, have been sounding of late, it would also seem that Kosovo is going to be effectively "ripped" from Serbia, largely by American doing. If this is true, it will undoubtedly push a huge protest vote away from DS and towards the SRS. Kostunica is no fool, and wants in on where the action will be down the road. No doubt he can get a more lucrative position for his party with the populist SRS than with the pro-Western DS, and by threatening a SRS coalition now, he can blackmail Tadic, Jeremic, et al, into doing what he wants.

It's sad to see that Kosovo still, for many elites in Belgrade, is not about the history, nor about the Serb people, but about how one can score political points for themselves and their own party against potential rivals. Kosovo's loss means the SRS's gain, and Kostunica seems more than willing to get on the bandwagon.

This is one more great reason why Kosova should be independent and away from the hands of Radicals & Kostunica.
With such leaders and parties such Radicals and Kostunica, Serbia will have some more dark and foggy times.
Because serbs want to suffer under these kind of people, we the albanians want to be away from these isolationists such Kostunica &co.
By the way, thanks to these kind of serb leaders Kosova is becoming Independent much easier.

All I see in this news is that Kostunica and his DSS are ONLY interested in maintaining their position in power.

They don't care about Kosovo, Nato or anything else but their profitable positions at the centre of government.
In that sense there is no difference between Kostunica and Milosevic, or DSS and SPS. The same devilish mentality of hiding your selfish policies behind fake patriottic emotions.
This is the kind of people that has brought and keeps bringing our country down.

If the DSS has any spirit they would be spending this energy to really find a solution for the Kosovo-issue. Instead, they are already gambling on the next wave of nationalism after Kosovo 'is lost'.

Kalashnikov Koshtunica is getting ready to use his machine gun in Serbia. He wants to torpedo Mr. Tadic and the coalition with his party.
Majority in Serbia want EU integration. Koshtunica wants the radicals. If they come to full power in Serbia, my prediction is there will be a civil war.
This is not good for Serbia.
Mr. Tadic should seek help in the West, and I am sure he would be accomodated.
Enough is enough, these nationalists and the Radicals are doing the worst possible action against Serbian people.
I think the people of Serbia should stand up and get rid of them. End of story.

I think Tadic is very moderated leader and will be our hero for his moderated policy.
He deserve more than he got because of his modern policy and because he is the one who will develop Serbia and abandon old fashioned strategy that actually the rest of the world does not like. We can not be alone isolated like and suffer the consequences of some leaders that are trying to keep their positions with many statements. Statements are not important anymore and we are tired of empty words. Serbia deserve to be among some other EU developed countries.

Only one comment to all the commentators: Their all pupits of the western worlds (DSS,DS..etc). I dont agree with all the stances of SRS but atleast they dont bend over when asked!
And Afrim Hoxha, the only reason Serbs are the only ones at the Hague is becasue the WEST needed a scapegoat. Americans always need to paint a good guy, bad guy senario (cowboys and Indians)but in reality it aint quite that simple. Dont worry the Serbs and the world will not forget what the KLA has done in Kosovo for the last 40 years. The truth has a way of coming out into the light.
