KOS-DARDANIA,

By the way: there was a civil war in China. One party got the mainland. The other party the island of Taiwan.
So why don't the USA simply say: he, there was a war?

KOS-DARDANIA,

May I quote you in a Dutch newspaper?

We, the West, intervened to STOP the war. Not to let you win, or the Serbs lose!

If we did not invervene Serbia had 'won'.

You almost make me cry! We, the West, fought for peace. Not for Albanian nationalism!

People like you we don't need in Europe!!!

By the way: the Palastians lost the war, so the should sit quiet?

If the Kosovars lost the next war, you will say: well, we lost, so let's forget it.

The name "DimTuc" reminded me of something interesting...

Dimitrije Tucović (Serbo-Croatian: Dimitrije Tucović, Димитрије Туцовић) (13 May 1881, Gostilje — 1914, Vrače Brdo) was a Yugoslavian social democrat and leader of the left faction of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia. He was the editor of Borba, the organ of the SDPS. Writing of the bloodiness of the Serbian takeover of Kosovo from Turkey, he stated,

We have carried out the attempted premeditated murder of an entire nation. We were caught in that criminal act and have been obstructed. Now we have to suffer the punishment.... In the Balkan Wars, Serbia not only doubled its territory, but also its external enemies.[1]

"A people fighting for their own right to self-determination might find it necessary to keep quiet about other parts of the world to notupset certain quarters, and that's their business."

DimTuc, in order to speak with your words: you should keep quiet about Kosovo, since it also is not your business, too.

Kosovo is an integral part of the Republic of Serbia, and in the best case, you are living in a serbian province.

there is no such thing as kosova, even if you write it a thousand times...it´s name is Kosovo. better learn that once for all, since otherwise nobody knows what you are talking about!

Ron:
"please explain: why a special deal for Kosovo? And not for the Kurds?"

A people fighting for their own right to self-determination might find it necessary to keep quiet about other parts of the world to notupset certain quarters, and that's their business. Don't assume anything from that about popular sympathies within Kosova.

I have no problem at all answering all your comments like this with "yes, yes, yes". Of course the Kurds have the same right to independence. I remember during the Rambouillet discussions the PKK turning up and saying they want the same thing as the Kosovars wanted. The superpowers shunted them aside, just as they had shunted the Kosovars aside for decades. I certainly hope the day for the Kurds, Palestinians and others comes soon. An independent Kosova would be an inspiration for them, regardless of the views of the particular powers who may today support it for Kosova but not for toher places. That's their problem, not Kosova's.

Even though He is not my favourite PM,I agree with him on this one, time has come to talk business!
If I was a PM,or had a little say in Kosovo Government, that day when G.W.Bush said in Tirana:"Enough is Enough",I would gather the Kosovo Assembly and declare Kosovo as a Independent Country!
First of all if the President of US is giving the clear signal that guys"Go for it",I would not hesitate.
Next day I would declare the independence of Kosovo and HE(The President of US)would recognise it!
But I think the Government of Kosovo is still waiting and to be honest I don't know how long we are going to wait!!!
For me,I have a personal win-win:"North of Ibar to be Independent and the rest Of Kosova to get a full Independence"!!!

Hamid, everyone knows that Kosovo Albanians and Albanian Albanians are the same people. No one really cares which Albanian you are. The Kosovo Albanians want to wave the red, double headed-eagle flag just like the Albanian Albanians, that is no secret. In heart, they really do want Kosovo to be an extension of Albania. If you are Albanian, you are Albanian - please don't tell me you are something other if you live in Kosovo or Albania. What is the difference? The Albanian people have moved back-and-forth from Kosovo to Albania whenever it was of benefit, everyone knows, and who cares? I would do the same. Why do Kosovo Albans pretend that they are Albanian Lite, or something like that? I am Serbian wherever I live. I am also proud of my heritage, wherever I reside. We both have a right to be proud of our heritage. If there a way to continue hating your neighbors, yet live in peace with them, that is the question the EU should be working on. Kosovo can never be a multi-ethnic society. Europeans will eventually realize this in the near future, when the Muslim societies within their own countries threaten their own existence and power. The Europeans will sing a different song then, it will be a matter of survival. Who will win, Islam or Christianity, that is the question? That is of essence here. Europe for now, being short-sighted, will create more problems for themselves that will come to bite them in the future?

On Albanian news was announced that the number of foreign turists is allmost doubled compared to a year ago.Although this was in a way expected from the Albanian authorities, the biggest surprise was the high numbers of Serbian and Greek turists.According to Minister of turism number of serbs and greeks that visited Albania for one day ore more were 21000 turist respectively. Some people in this site expresed serious doubt about the efect of visa lifting for serbians from the Albanian goverment.Greeks were not expected in big numbers because they have a develloped turistik country. Papandreou: Kosovo will be independent

Belgrade, 17:29

Kosovo will gain independence, but regardless of the solution for the province, the entire region should have European perspective, considers the leader of Greek opposition socialist party PASOK, George Papandreou.

"The current situation is such that Kosovo, I believe, will gain independence. However, I believe that should be related with Kosovo's accession to the European Union, and by that, the Union should play much more proactive role in the solution of Kosovo's status", Papandreou said for Serbian media.

Among other things, he said that the Province, until gaining its independence, should receive special status.

"It is necessary them to receive special status until they gain full independence - a status that will enable them to play active role in the international community, to receive special credits, financial support and foreign investments", Papandreou added. /end/

If the Serbs want to go ahead and listen to these politicians that are still stuck on the days of propaganda and crafty wordsmanship, a trademark that has destroyed the quality of life all throughout the Balkans, then then should go ahead and fantasize that somehow independence is not going to happen.

However, the truth remains that the Kosovar government can announce independence at anytime after December 10th, and they will be recognized by much of the West.

With that kind of support, they've got enough to run a country or two.

"What Serbians fail to realize is that the people of Kosovo were independent from Serbia the day Milosevic withdrew his troops. That was in 1999.
(Osama, 15. September 2007 15:32)"

In my view he is a COWARD (sorry, a harsh word) because if he really was a strong person he would say:

Independence for Kosovo.
Independence for North-Kosovo.

And: The US should recognize Taiwan NOW and help Tibet NOW!

Ceku, come on! Fight not only for yourself but for the other peoples on the globe seeking independence.

Or: please explain: why a special deal for Kosovo? And not for the Kurds?
PLEASE ANSWER!!

Osama,

What's with that ridiculous nick name. We Albanians from abroad and inside despise that name. But my final conclusion is you must be a Serb or an Arab trying to fool us and B92.

Unfortunately, the details of his murder are still a mystery.

I know aguy with name Fidel ,but that has nothing to do with fidel castro!.
A friend of mine has a name Enver Hoxha , but he never liked enver hoxha .A guy whos name is osama ,who is my colegue is very well respecte Dr , in USA , N,Y etc, etc. exemples. So my point is that is non sense to say to someone why your name is this or that. How many MIllosevic names are there in serbia ?What I whould do is : I would change my name, if my name would coincide with , osama, millosevic, adolf ,fidel, putin ,but this is a personal choice .
As for PM"s statement , yeah that is true ,everybody knows that after dec 10 ,Kosovar goverment will declare independence. On the quastion why we did not declare until now,the answer is simple,Because we wanted to be controled and fast membership on UN ,EU that's it.
Ron ;
"Why doen't Ceku simply accept Kosovo is part of Serbia?
I mean his friend the USA wants Taiwan (ruling their own business since WWII !!!) to stay part of China. So why a special treatment for Kosovo?"
I am sorry Ron ,I don't mean to be disrespectfull , but how old are you?If you are younger that 8 years old then is not your foult bec. you were not born yet ,I'll tell you that there was a war for Kosova , and Serbia lost the war .
All the best to everybody.

Ron

KOS-DARDANIA,

By the way: there was a civil war in China. One party got the mainland. The other party the island of Taiwan.
So why don't the USA simply say: he, there was a war?
