Swiss citizenship system "racist"

An official report into the process of naturalization in Switzerland says the system is discriminatory and in many ways racist.

"By the way, K-Albanians have no problem gaining Swiss citizenship at all."

Yeah, I've heard Albanians say there were many Albanians in Switzerland.

However, I have also read of crimes by Albanians against the Swiss, such as last year a 10 or 11-year-old Albanian boy raped a 5-year-old Swiss girl.

PB, I know you are trying to be funny. How old are you and can ypou back up your claim in regard to Titos lax policy on immigration. What that does have to do with Koosva albanians that have been for eternity in their own god given land and you were the occupier. Get of the subject and go learn some real history.
By the way, K-Albanians have no problem gaining Swiss citizenship at all.

Thank God there are still counties in the world that care about their own citizens and not just catering to political correct hypocrits like the rest od the EU has become. Why should foreigners just settle in a Western nation to reap the benefits of the welfare systems? Most come to host countries and remain loyal to where they came from. They want to retain their customs, dress, religions, etc. I don't want to see mosques when I go to Geneva. I'm sure I won't see too many Catholic cathedrals in the Middle-East. That is not right. If you come to Switzerland, you must be loyal to Switzerland first. I say, keep your standards and honor Swiss people. Do not allow anyone to ruin your country.

Ptoleme - why did the albanians start a terrorist war of secession then??
(PB, 13. September 2007 20:03)

Seems like you have already made up your mind about why these Albanians started their 'terrorist' war of secession.

If you were a little rational and neutral, I would respect what you would have to say; but seeing that you impose an outside issue on something that has nothing to do with the current situation in Kosovo, concludes only to the fact that you have a passionate stand on the issue.

Directly or indirectly your comments portray a deliberately concealed form of xenophobia - in the hope that you would make yourself seem neutral on the issue at hand.

This is one of the most delusional comments I have ever come across on this site.

This goes to show that Switzerland, regarded my many as one of the most democratic countries in the world, has its own issues as well:

1. Women did not get the right to vote until the 1970s.

2. SVP, the far right Swiss People's Party, is one of the largest in Switzerland

3. Immigration rights are nearly impossible to gain.

Well, they are not a EU country and have been doing fine on their own for as long as I can remember. Their country, their laws. Someone doesn't like it, go somewhere else.

The Swiss probably have the right attitude to immigration. Once a "minority" gets critical mass, it can try to throw it's weight around and disrupt society - e.g. The Albanians in Kosovo who have always regarded themselves as Albanian and not Serbian. Serbia is paying the price for it's lax immigration policy in the Tito era.
