ate's points are on target. The Minority Albanian community doesn't have much legality, especially given their ethnic cleansing record and rationale for maintaining it. Perhaps they should all move to Finland where Ahtisarri can carve them out a new mono-ethnic state out of Lapland Territory.

Albano, what other country are you talking about. If you are referring to Kosovo-Metohija, that is a part of the country of Serbia. It is it's southern most province. It is temporarily being administered by NATO/UN, because Albanian separatists tried to break away from sovereign territory but, that will not happen. Maybe people like you, should try and work with your neighbors and make Kosovo a more harmonious region. Trying to create an ethnically pure Albanian Kosovo will not materialize. Please read all the news that comes out daily. Your separatist ambitions have fewer and fewer supporters. I bet in the end, even America will raise it's hands from the Balkans. They have a lot bigger concerns to deal with. Again, please read a varied amount of news around the world. You will do yourself and your loved ones a great service. There will always be room for Albanian-Serbs in Kosovo.

Kate, in numerous occasions and arguments, you only reply is that 'you cannot comapre the albanian side/position with the serbian side/position'.

Its this very similar attidue of Serbia's politicans and siginifact precentage of population that make albanians not even think about, or consider autonomy.

Nikshala - The Ahtisaari Plan does not hold as much weight as international legal rights. The A Plan is just a proposal, not already enshrined in international law.

The two can't be compared.

One side offers a compromise of Ahtisaari Plan and constitutional rights for K.serb minority usually reserved for sovereign states; while the other side refuses to budge from demanding autonomy.

It doesn't take a legal expert to see who holds the stronger hand, or a seasoned diplomat to see who is being reasonable and who is behaving with petulance.

Tadic spoke well here. No implementation of UN Standards or democratic principals, no support. This is a correct stance.

There should be no support until ALL refugees and displaced persons are welcomed back and allowed to vote, as required by UN Resolution.

On one side, Serbia won't let go of what it legally holds. On the other side, an ethnic group in the Serbian province is demanding that they hand it over.

Why? Because Nato used the KLA, formerly listed as a terrorist group, as its land army to avoid body bag syndrome in 1999 and now it's 'payback' time. But even the US aren't able to just hack off a chunk of land and help to create an ethnically pure state in the heart of Europe.

One side offers a compromise of autonomy and constitutional rights usually reserved for sovereign states; while the other side refuses to budge from demanding full independence.

It doesn't take a legal expert to see who holds the stronger hand, or a seasoned diplomat to see who is being reasonable and who is behaving with petulance.

The trouble with people like Ahtisaari who end up in the ICG Retirement Benefit Scheme is that they become drunk on their own sense of self importance, losing the plot and their impartiality.

Who gives you that right to be mixed in a foreign country policy Mr.Tadic? I think you as a moderate politician, should be more concerned about the election in your country, and by having the common policy does not make you one different,(I think the world have seen your real face by now), makes you the same ultranationalist as all the other politicians in Serbia, which you have around you and you had before you.
I do not understand you as a president of a country , insted of looking to bring forward your country, you are trying to mix in foreign countries policy , but you seam to have forgoten that your country is in the same position as was after brught to capitulation of serbian nationalism? However even if we do not have anything in common I would suggest you not to play with fire, but insted of that , look forward to a brighter future for your country first , and for all the naighbours around you. Stop listening those politicians who have sold their soul to devil, get rid of them by thinking, if Montenegro who has the same traditions speaks the same language and have only 700 thousend and that mixed population did not want to be in any connection with Serbia, what could make more then 2 Milion population with more then 90 % of that population, who has totally diferent traditions , differentlanguage, to have any conection with your country. It just does not make any sense , does it?

Did you hear that? Please listen it again and again. "He (Tadic) added that Serbia is ready to compromise, but not on its sovereignty and territorial integrity." Here is the shamble of further negotiation between Serbia and Kosova regarding the "compromise". Kosovar Albanians will never compromise their independence. I hope that you hear that again and again. That is why President Ahtisari, a very experienced politician and negotiator after listening to both sides for more than one year came with a Plan which has been accepted by the EU and the USA.
