Srboslav,
Of course there are economical crimes in Serbia, as in every other country in the world (exept Albania of course ;-)

But what is worse? Drugsmugling and human trafficing on a gigantic scale or economical crimes?

Which does Kosovo has most of?...

BELGRADE -- Interior Minister Dragan Jočić (DSS) told reporters happy with his ministry’s work over the last one hundred days.
As an example of their success, the Interior Ministry cited the fact that in the last one hundred days six brand new criminal groups had been smashed, that had cost tax-payers more than EUR 50mn with the illegal import of oil derivates, robberies and re-sale of stolen cars abroad.

Jočić specified that ninety-two people had been arrested who had been members of these six groups, pointing out that, at the same time, the police had been very successful in curbing the trade of illegal drugs.

The minister said that nine drug smuggling rings had been busted, and 262 kilograms of various forms of drugs had been seized, including about 100 kg of heroin.

He is pleased with progress in the battle against drug smuggling, indicating that in that sector, three organized groups, numbering twenty-nine members, had been discovered in the regions of Smederevo and Novi Sad, that had also been active in Sweden and Denmark.

Jočić said that major results in curbing the practice of human trafficking had also been made, in cooperation with police from neighboring countries, noting that in one operation alone, forty-three organisers of this illegal trade had been arrested.

Turning to the situation in the Ground Safety Zone in three municipalities in the south of Serbia, the minister said that the security situation there was stable, although he warned that owing to events nearby, it was essential to maintain security forces at their current level.

He also announced the adoption of new legal measures in the Interior Ministry’s sphere of activity, such as the Law on Citizenship and the Law on Travel Documents, noting that a Law on Asylum was also being prepared.

I hope that will make u think twice b4 you post again. Or maybe you thought b92 wouldn't publish such news.

nikshala,
you are absolutely right, I forgot for a minute. Serbia has all kinds of mafia criminal activities. Drugsmugling, white slavery, trafficing, are very common in soutern Serbia, specially in the region around, Pristina, Gnjilane, Pec and a large surrounding area. However some parts north or Kosovska Mitrovica is free from THIS type of criminality.

Here we go again. Whenever there is some news on criminal acitivity in Serbia, we get the usual response from the usual suspects 'of course there are crimes in Serbia, same as in all other coutnries'!! - but when there is some news of criminal activity in Kosovo then its - 'there is crime only in Kosovo (and Albania), and Seriba is a nice little angle'!!!
