No more to Serb-held armed forces in Bosnian territory! Lajcak must act boldly like the Great Lord Paddy Ashdown, and show who really rules.

I disagree. Balkans will have much better economies then that of Western Europe. Its geography. As well as we have small and moderate populations in Western Balkans and therefor nowhere near necessary population to supply the West.

Also until 90's we (Yugoslavia) were much better of in every aspect then any wester country.

As for Romania, Bulgaria etc Dont know dont care.

Michael Thomas,
you spoke so wisely.
I fully feel what you say.

But it has been "Germanics vs Slavs"/"Capitalism vs Socialism" all the way back in history hasn't it?

Very true. I can already see Balkan nations becoming to EU what Mexicans are for US, just a cheap labour serving their EU masters who on the other hand are just ordinary average EU citizens with good paid jobs.

“Isolation or integration, today that is your choice and your responsibility,” so says the EU's ruling bureaucrat in the former Bosnia-Hercegovina.

May I suggest another choice: "independence or subservience to unelected foreigners like Lajcek."

No one in ex-Yugoslavia needs the EU; it'll bring nothing but high taxation and depopulation as the youth of ex-Yu are freed to become cooks and cleaners in Western Europe.

Over the past 3 years between 1-2 million Poles have left their country to do menial jobs in Western Europe. Poland now has a shortage of doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers and builders.

Most of these Poles are of child-bearing age, so a whole generation of Polish children will be born outside of Poland.

If the former Bosnia-Hercegovina ever joins the EU it will within a couple of years be populated only by old-age pensioners and British "Property Developers" who will snap up cheap holiday homes. Why anyone would think this a future worth having is beyond me.
