Nikshala - albanians in Serbia don't need military escorts to do their grocery shopping. They are treated equal and like all other citizens, that is the way a multicutlural society is supposed to work. You can come visit and see for yourself, nobody is stopping you. However, Serbs can not come visit Kosovo now unless it's with a military escort. Wonderful place, isn't it? Serbia is NOTHING like present day Kosovo. Present day Kosovo is an apartheid state with absolutely no freedoms for minorities.

I would not feel safe coming to Serbia.

Anyway, I remeber very clearly how serbs and Serbia treated me 'equaly' before 1999!

Dragan, Delije...

you guys make me laugh. Did any serb ever protest against the killing of thousands of albanians and rape of thousands of albanian women in 1999? Did you go out and speak against those crimes?

Did you protest againts the recent bomb attack on a bus carrying albanians in North of Mitrovica?

Dragan and Delije thats rich coming from you. If I were you I would look at Serbia's criminal activities first before pointing your fingers at others. At least Kosovo never had its Prime Minister assasinated by a criminal gang! And journalists are not assasinated either as was the case recently in Serbia (and Russia for that matter, who also has one of the highest rates of racists murders and attacks - but I guess they are trying to protect international law).

Albanians in this forum are not trying to say that Kosovo has no crime problem, it does have a problem, hence the protest of thousands, but Serbia is no better and it has more than its share of criminal activity.

Ratko since you mentioned my name I have to respnd.
Firts of all I am looking all around me and I have yet to see that serbian KiM that you mentioned.
As far as the crime kosova is a drop in the sea compare to your orginize crime, mafia , drug dealers and son that you in belgrade and they are running affairs of your beloved serbia proper.
Yesterday march was an outstanding and also you should read the coments from Police Commissioner Richard Monk. He was very impressed and in support of the said march. Things are getting better and better day by day in Kosova as far as fighting crime. So don't what is going on in another country, but you should worry about your Zemun Clan and others in serbia proper. Forget about Kosova, this is of no concern to you anymore.

how typical to link this KS Albanian criminal to the Serb police. What proof is there for this. This is just justifying and soothing your own mind and then blinding yourself for the fact that crime is high here and respect for law and order is not up to standard compared to any other state in western europe.

Was the assassination of the KS Albanian family with young innocent kids in Glogovac in 2001 also done by serb police, no this was done by the so-called "war heros", where was the silent march back then with candels etc. Nowhere to be exact because the father had the wrong job in the 1990's.

I will relax with the greater albania thing when you stop trying to illegally steal a piece of the sovereign Serbian ancestral homeland that is Kosovo.
(Dragan, 5. September 2007 00:22)

Dragan, if not 'illegally' how do you legally steal something?
I am amazed by the extents that Serbs stretch their 'international law' rants.

It's great that the K-Albanians are protesting organized crime. But the fact is there is organized crime in Kosovo, "hotbed". That is what we Serbs have been saying for years on this site. Alot of things are coming out & it's not looking good for camp Alban.

Stop seeing conspiracies everywhere.

Hundreds of citizens in every country fall victims to crimes, some ethnically/racially motivated. Are you saying we should demonstrate for each one of them?

This guy was a policeman, a member of the state's law enforcement structures, who was gunned down by a criminal gang. So this is not just a crime against an individual citizen, but also a defiance against the state structures and its agencies.
Obviously the reaction from the public is more vocal in such occasions.

How about you relax with this whole "Greater Albania" thing for a minute?

There you go ahmet. Nothing else to say, so please stop denying the truth about the situation in Serbian KiM!

It really says something that thousands of albanians went out to protest the killing of an albanian, but not one went out to protest the raping of a Serb woman and assault and the beating of a Serb man which just recently happened right under their noses. They are clearly ok with actions like that, because they help with the ethnic cleansing of Serbs and their goal of a pure albanian region. It looks like Europe and the world is finally waking up to this illegal and immoral plan for a greater albania, and it will not pass.

Also.

"The outpouring of support for his family is a sign that the people of Kosovo do not accept crime and violence. His death has united Kosovo's people against crime like no other event that I have witnessed here," UN administrator in Kosovo Joakim Ruecker said.

^^^ Hard to believe, I thought Kosovars were war-mongors who run around with guns, drugs, and bombs. Right Cvele, Raso, Kate?

And they won't arrest him, if you have connections and money and you put the fear of being killed no one will touch him with a 100 foot pole and if the KFOR arrest him everyone will be out protesting, claiming interfernce by KFOR
