Actually, Lenard, many mines were planted by the Croat and Muslim armies and some of the worst places were where the Croat and Muslim armies had their lines when fighting each other in central Bosnia in 1993. That's where many Bosnians have gotten blown up in the last few years.

10 of thousands of land mines were planted in Croatia and Bosnia. By Serb forces they say they did not bother to map them. Every year people are killed & maimed. Children, woman, men, farmers, tourist. Serbia should pay for clean up and compensation to the innocent victims! The irresponsible Serbian political & military leaders had caused.

its too expensive to remove the bombs but its not too expensive to build the bombs, drop them from a half a billion dollar bomber and cause millions of dollars of damage in an illegal bombing champaign?
Once again NATOs logic fails.

Also interesting would be to learn how many NATO bombs were jettisoned into the Adriatic Sea and remain there and what effect they are having on this water body's ecosystem.
