Kosovo should accept the Jeremic's suggested autonomy under one condition; If former Yugoslav Republics join together again to form one federal state where Kosovo would enjoy the status of 1974 Yugoslav Constitution. Then and only then will this autonomy make any kind of sense. You think thats possible?

A good offer from Serbia. The albanians can run their own daily life without interference from the authority in Belgrade.

I am getting so tired in reading how the albanians blame the serbs for everything when it was the albanians that started this episode of anarchy by killing police and civilians back in 1997. What do they expect? That the world will just look how some former terrorists, KLA, now pretend to be some nation builders and give them a country that belongs to someone else?! I don't get this. What do you albanians really want? If it is a country then you already have one. Albania. You must all start to live in harmony with other ethnic groups, the european way, and not make troulbe around the balkans because of some sick land grabbing policy. And don't blame the serbs and other ethnic minorities for your own misery!

If you ask the average person in Bulgaria,Romania,Macedonia,Greece,Montenegro which group of people it is easier to get along with what would they say?Do the Albanians not want NATO protecting their autonomy?Romania,Greece,Bulgaria and soon Macedonia are all NATO members and the best placed ones to provide peacekeeping in the Balkans.

You can have your current Pristina government keep functioning in the Automous Serbian Province of Kosovo-Metohija. Albanians can be allowed to manage themselves but, no land grab. It's against the law.

"Jeremić said that the plan which Serbia had presented at the Thursday meeting in Vienna represented a "very generous offer" because it envisioned "the widest possible autonomy, one that Kosovo did not have even under the 1974 Constitution.""
Will Serbia give up its right to evoke the autonomy? That is very important to know.
best wishes to everybody

Greek administrators , soldiers and police should be permanently stationed under UN or EU auspices in Serb areas in Kosovo.Bulgarian and Romanian ones should be permanently stationed in the Abanian areas of Kosovo/Macedonia/Montenegro in order to ensure long term stability in the Balkans.

So, we're being offered more than we actually have right now? That's ridiculous...

Mr. Jeremic, you seem to forget about issues of 'path dependency' and 'irreversibility.' Path dependency in the sense that over the past 8 years, Kosovars have built political institutions that are essentially independent of any control from Belgrade. The entire legal and political architecture of Kosovo is built on the idea of an independent state. Thus the second issue of irreversibility, in the sense that we are now at a point of no-return. You CANNOT reconfigure these institutions that were designed to function and lead to an independent Kosovo to SOMEHOW become integrated within the Serbian political system. They were not designed to do so and thus the entire political system of Kosovo will have to crumble before institutions are designed anew to enable this implied 'reintegration.' The only way I see that happening is by having Belgrade send tanks to Prishtina to 'build these institutions anew.'

Hence, Mr. Jeremic, any move away from the current status quo which does not imply formal recognition of independence will be LESS than what we have now, and thus your argument that we will get MORE than anything we've had so far is merely a rhetorical propaganda, with no logic basis to the argument.
