The serbian parties are going to run for office this year.

Agim Ceku isn't running.

I'm voting, possibly for that new serbian party that deals with economic stability. I still need to hear how they will manage the economy though.

Will the Serbian block vote this time? Some had said they they want to participate but will Belgrade let them? I think it would be better if even the Serbs voted.

The biggest fan of Kosovo elections this year is Mr. Hashim Thaci, the leader of PDK (the K/Albanian party originating the in KLA/UCK guerilla). In international circles in Kosovo, the rumour says that Thaci threatened UNMIK and the so-called Unity Team (the group of K/Alb politicians representing all K/Alb parties formed to negociate with Belgrade about the future of the province) that if elections are not organized this year, he and his party will boycott the negociations with Serbia and will push for unilateral declaration of independence, if necessary through street demonstrations... Thaci ambitions is to be the Prime Minister of Kosovo when the province will became (or declare itself) independent... Now, if we remember the recent statements of Agim Ceku, the current head of Pristina-based provisional government, he seems convinced that everything will be sorted out no later than 10 of December (meaning the independence). The big question is: who will be PM at that moment? If elections will be held on 17 November, Thaci has a chance, only if a government will be formed by then... But if the political negociations will take couple more weeks? However, this shows that, for most K/Albanian politicians in Kosovo, the "independence" issue is the only way to legitimate themselves in front of common people... Saddly enough, the leaders'message for the voters is that "everything will be just fine starting with the next day after independence" - and this is such a big delusion...
