Bosnia needs to be able to return to its multicultural status and not let the intolerance of the ethno/reliogio fascists call the shots; pun intended

It is different because the EU propogate that Bosnia is a MULTI-ETNO state, it is not, all 3 groups are slavs, the difference being that the religions are what divide us. We christians cannot accept that the religion of our Turkish colonisers is pre-dominant. Bosnia can only exist on paper with a weak government just as in the Lebanon.

Control over police is one of the most basic minority rights. Lajcak should stand up to Brussel and tell them that there are other ways to fight corruption.

In the Sarajevo region is has been possible with some cooperation agreements to greatly reduce cross-entity crime. Why shouldn't that be possible elsewhere?

It is obvious that the Croats were shotgunned into a marriage of inconvenience with the Muslims in Bosnia even though from what I have heard the Croats are much more antagonistic to Islamic Slavs than the Serbs are.For Bosnia's long term stability the correct thing to do is have a separate Croat entity along the Republika Srpska model.Southeren Kosovo can also be organized in the same fashion with the Albanians running their own affairs.

Avi, Milosevic did not occupy any of those parts. Those parts had a serbian majority before the war and the serbs there rose up and formed their own states. Milosevic did not control them.

As for Bosnia, it is a divided country and has not achieved much towards unification since the end of the war. It is high time to divide it and to create a third Croat canton.

Ren, that’s called Jurisdiction, the US has it too, even more so.

You know, how Bo and Luke Duke were always headed for the County line?

This police reform could have gone through easily if the politicians didnt make it an entity or no entity issue. The army is already theoretically joint so why was that not a problem ?

Because today the police can hardly chase a criminal in Bosnia.
One simply crosses the "Inter-Entity Boundary Line" (IEBL) and police has to stop, and start offical procedures to ask for help from the other "entity", ... and this "help" often takes forever to arrive.
That's why one can find on the IEBL that seperate East-Sarajevo from Sarajevo all kind of black market activities.

Thats the reason, police competecies need to be adopted to reality, but our politicians think it's better to fight for years among each other than to give the police competencies to fight crime!!

Can someone please explain to me what's so important about these police reforms. It seems they've been going on about them forever.

In this context it is (eventually) about the Copenhagen criteria:
"...Membership requires that candidate country has achieved stability of institutions guaranteeing democracy, the rule of law..." etc.
