Joe, Russia and Serbia have stopped your so called wheel of history way back in May never mind now. It is over and has been over since May of this year. There is NO and will be NO independence in Kosovo, period. Amazing how you and so many others don't get it by now? It didn't happen, it won't happen.

Joe we in all honesty we really don't give a damn if your Albanian or not. it makes no difference...however you are failing in convincing us other wise.

For a "non" Albanian I can tell you that your extremely uninformed which comes as no surprise as despite your wishes no people don't know who/where/what or even care what Kosovo is at all, sad truth but the truth non the less.

Oppressed? LOL ya how about you turn the clock back some 20 years and go visit Albania itself to see what oppression is and then compare with Albanians living in Yugoslavia (Serbia) past, present and future.

And I quote --

"Albanians but just like many non-Albanians have profond sympathies for them for all that terror they endured and wish to see them as an independent country"

UM....books/maps...internet too Joe come in Joe....
Albanians independent country = ALBANIA

Well...really you should thank me as I just saved you a bunch of time in "fighting" for the rights for Albanians to have a independent country.

Your welcome Joe. :)

by the way its Profound not profond.

Joe,

I agree with you that Kosovo/a Albanians were once were very oppressed and that Serbia must distance itself clearly from that repression and crimes, regardless of the status question. What saddens me is that your empathy for Albanians somehow leads you to completely ignore the current plight of tens of thousands of non-Albanians who were ethnically cleansed from Kosovo/a. Too bad that in this case of a very repressed people you seem unable to feel any empathy with the victimized. Why?

Joe, So you think there is some great significance in the fact that you a non Albanian is supporting the independence of Kosovo. Threre are many non Serbs who do not support independent Kosovo. The non Albanians who do support independ Kosovo are usually Croatians who are fiercly opposed to anything Serbian so this does not come as a surprise to me. As you can see both sides have their supporters.

Joe,

You are absolutely right. The Unilateral Declaration of Independence is the only way. Thank you! For being fair on this issue. All Albanians want is fairness which they'll never get it from Russians and Serbians.

Jovan,
I know you would prefer a less complex world, where on one side there would be the K-Albanians alone and on the other side you Serbs with your oppressive army/state apparatus against them just like in the nineties. To add to this picture of your dreams the world would not even know that Kosovo exist and the few who would know would not care about it. How nice would it be for you. Well, thank God the real world is different. Many people on this site defending the heroic K-Albanians, me included, are not Albanians. I have absolutely no connections with Albanians but just like many non-Albanians have profond sympathies for them for all that terror they endured and wish to see them as an independent country, an idependence well deserved for a long time. Your arrogance and your huffing and puffing against defenders (countries or individuals) of the K-Albanians will not save Kosovo for you. You lost it already 8 years ago for ever. What is happening now are just the final formalities to make this loss for you as clear as possible.

Joe,
you wrote "The unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo and successive recognition is the only solution."

You mean unilateral independence lika that of "Turkish republic of North Cyprus" or Taiwan?? That would really be the bright future of Kosovo, add to that corrupt war criminals and crime lords as politicians....

I wonder who is the joke on this one!

interesting how the k-albanians feel themselves forced to comment everything if it doesn´t please them... =)

a few months ago it was "Russia will back down before the one and only super-power"...and now...they are whining about how bad Mr.Putin´s Russia is...

boys, keep cool, you will learn to cope with it.

and some day you will learn that you´ve been duped ( by your "friends" ).

Ya sure joe... and like in america the presidents differ from each other. They are all the same, they just bomb different countries, that's all.

I know it bothers you that it is because of Russia that america cannot steal and occupy Serbia's province. I guess you are just going to have to live with it, and get used to more rejections from Russia!

This is to prove that Serbia is draging their feet all along, from Rambouillet, to Ahtisari negotiation and now, so they hope to cool off the talk of INDEPENDENCE.
I dont think Kosovo should wait that long, and declare long awaited INDEPENDENCE.
This is why they say:"politics is a prostitute".

What a joke this guy. The Serbs of all political colour (and I don't see many) think naively that they can artificially postpone the decision of Kosovo's status for ever. Russia's presidential elections? This is the biggest joke. In that "democratic" country everybody knows already that Putin's proposed candidate will be elected...just like in the good old soviet days.
Within the troika there will never be an agreement because of Russia. The unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo and successive recognition is the only solution. Russia and Serbia can do all the huffing and puffing, stand on their head, protest as much as they want, they will not be able to stop the wheel of history and the wiil of a once very oppressed people.
