At least Serbia and Montenegro are progressing towards Eurpoean integration. If some people are upset that they are progressing and cooperating, so be it.

I have heard that when it comes to EU membership to the former republics of yugoslavia they will have to agree to have all EU documents translated to ONE language. Not 4, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin. It would be logic since its all the same language but with local differences only. Why should EU pay for translation to 4 dialectal versions only to satisfy some nationalistic politicians?

Amazing! Even when two nations want to collaborate on something positive and meaningful to both of them - commentors here must try and interject something negative. The depth of your hatred is appauling. I wish Serbia and Montenegro both a bright and prosperous European future. And let the jealous and spiteful wallow in their misery.

The assistance here is for translation and I think it requires law experts to be able to correctly interpret and translate the language at the same time. "
All of a sudden Serbia is up to the brim with legal translation experts?
Where were they when their serbian govt. ran over such laws of a 'simple' Yugoslavia? Oh yeh, I guess they were still growing up, out to lunch or just having their slivo and turska kafe.

The countries you mentioned don't speak Serbia, and even if they have some people who do speak the language, they aren't most likely to be law experts as well.

But I see this as Montenegro wanting Serbia to pay for more than its share of this. Montenegrins take some many jobs in Serbia and have used its healthcare and education systems paid for by Serb tax payers.

Montengro should pay for the translations itself.

Serbia assisting Montenegro on its European way seems to be some kind of wishful thinking. Nobody wants to loose millions of European funds as the Serbs actually do. Serbian experts have therefore no success results to show as a proof of their skills. On the other hand there are enough experienced experts and governments (with good results) across Europe. They can assist and accelerate Montenegro's accession to the EU. Consequently, Montenegro can choose from at least 27 EU states. Nobody is bound to ask a country, which officially has no relevant and valid accession treaty with the EU, for assistance. Belgrade officials just talk for the talk's sake. Somebody should ask them for "hard" evidence of their "European capability": e.g. How many European laws have been passed in Serbian parliament since the actual governement took office? (N)one.
