Why is this even news? Who cares what this little college boy "gone wild" thinks? He has no political voice, and a small student following. There really is no news from Kosovo except for, when will Serbia and Russia fianlly kill this "Independent Kosovo" fiasco from the greedy West. Do they not understand that they play with human lives? Or maybe they just do not care - as long as the prosper.

I read most of the comments and all some of you are saying is that Serbs can be as much as they want Anti-Albanian, but If Albanians like Kurti are anti-Serb, than, you are quickly rushing into labeling him a radical, terrorist, Islamist and so on. Maybe you should google Kurti and you'll find out that he has passed most of his youth in Serbian jails.

Luciano,

There are no Islamists and mujahedeen in Kosova. You are blinded by Serbian propaganda my friend. If you will ever find such elements in Kosova, they will surely come from North Mitrovica and Orthodox Serbian clergy.
It appears that you have convinced yourself that every Muslim has to be a terrorist.

There is no cure for such diseases! Shalom to you too.

"he already is resonsible for the death of two albanian youths at that demonstration a few weeks ago"

How strange. I thought they were shot by UN troops. But I guess my logic is wrong, after all, the 12,000 Kosovar Albanians killed in 1999 were killed ... by the KLA of course. Those that actually did the killing had nothing to do with it

This is the guy that was charged with TERRORISM and blah blah during SERBIAN REGIME. Anyone here remembers the protests? I'm sure a little walk down google-video lane will show anyone serbian police beating up peaceful protesters.

No Albanian leader will be able to control the radical bloodthirsty mujahadeen element in Kosova society once it becomes obvious that independence is not going to happen. The lives of the Serbian people should not be kept in continuos jeopardy and it is high time that every single Serb relocate to northern Kosovo in order to prevent themselves from being slaughtered. The fanatic Islamists seek conflict wherever they can and Kosovo is the next stop for all the crazies being kicked out of Bosnia.NATO will be able to protect all the Serbs if they all live in the north and no Islamist will be allowed to cross the de facto line of separation. It is the height of idiocy to think that the majority of people in Kosovo would wanna give up their Serbian passport for a worthless piece of Kosova paper that only the US may or may not eventually recognize but the extremists are never prone to compromise and must either be jailed or exiled.Shalom

Good on you Albin. Actually, Kurti has always been against atatcks on Serbs. He vigorously condemned the pogroms of March 2004. The only problem is that he has been consstently slandered by the world media. The fact that he is very radical on the issue of independence is conjured up to mean he is anti-Serb, when in fact the two types of radicalism might have nothing in common with each other. He doesn't want Kosova ruled by a UN colonial protectorate, and doesn't ant it replaced by an EU colonial protectorate - what does that eminently patriotic stance have to do with being anti-Serb? Zilch. False dilemma. He doesn't want his indepndence to be "supervised" by "ggod adults" in the "international community" as is Kosova is a child, but that does not mean he wants freedom for some Albanians to kill Serbs, and never has meant that to him. In fatc he clealry makes the point above that any deterioratin in the relatiosn between K Serbs and K Albanians is against the interests of unity of Kosoavr peoples for the main goal of independence (nothing to do with te ridiculous cynical spin that Dragan put on it). After all, Demaci as his mentor - and you could ardly get a stronger voice opposed to attacks on minorities. Kurti's group is in fact te budding anti-colonial movement of the Kosovar people.

Well done Albin Kurti.

Albin Kurti is the smartest guy that could be out there in Balkan. Everyone else is so closed mine, they don't look at bigger picture. Serbs think that Russians love them, Albanians think that Americans love them, they don't understand that no one cares for them, it just a game. The solution here is very simple: Serbia just need to let Kosovo go, support it, so it can become an independent country (same as Croatia etc.) and pay for the damages that they did to Albanians during the war. That's all.Wish the best for Albin Kurti and B92.

Kurti's just admitted that albanians should not attack Serbs and burn more churches right now because they are 'under scrutiny'. So I guess what he really means is, after the world focus is shifted and the albanians are no longer under scrutiny, THAT is the time for another pogrom, more killing, burning, raping, and destruction. Wonderful message. I am sure the cowboy George and his administration agree with him.

"Police seize massive cache of explosives in Kosovo - Summary

Pristina - Kosovo police and NATO-led peacekeepers (KFOR) discovered a massive amount of explosive in the western part of the breakaway province and made two arrests, authorities in Pristina said Wednesday. Authorities uncovered 92.6 kilos of what was believed to be TNT in two houses in Vitomirica and Novo Selo, a village in the area of Pec, 80 kilometres west of Pristina, Kosovo police spokesman Veton Elshani told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

Police acted on an anonymous tip that explosives could be found in the villages, close to Kosovo's border with Montenegro, spokesman Veton Elshani told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

"In Vitomirica we found 48.6 kilos in the search, while in the nearby Novo Selo we found another 44 kilos," he said. "So in total we have seized 92.6 kilos."

Sources close to the police said the two arrested people were Kosovo Albanians. They said KFOR had tightened controls in the area during the search, which lasted several hours Wednesday afternoon.

"We don't know yet what the explosive was intended for, but it sure wasn't for fishing," said Beqir Kelmendi, a senior police official in Pec, estimating that the amount seized was enough to "blow up several buildings."

Tension in Kosovo has grown again as the status of the province remains unresolved in spite of the expectations of the Albanian majority.

The Albanians had expected the West to push through its promise of independence for Kosovo this year, but the process was blocked by Russia in the United Nations. Russia supports Serbia, which insists on control over the province.

Western officials have expressed concern that the tension could escalate into ethnic violence targeting Serbs and other embattled minorities." Author : DPA
