Sejdiu is right in thinking in two state terms. The only relationship we can have with Serbia is one based on mutual respect and reciprocity. As late Mr Agani stated “What happens in Serbia is legally irrelevant to us”.
By the way why the need to kill him. He was only of the few promoting real dialogue.

To Mr.Thachi: it is not "Russia's obstruction". It is an obstruction of the whole world to Kosovo "independence", especially when the UN SC has blocked a new Resolution on Kosovo 2 months before.

It's like the saying: Too little too late. Serbia could have prevented such fate it is left with today just by not killing Albanians. It is a very simple concept. Even an official apology just after the ousting of Slobodan Milosevic could have done a great deal for Serbia's chances to keep at least some sovereignty over the province.
Therefore today, it is too little too late.

Opposition leader Hashim Thaci said that Priština will in Vienna ask that Russia stops blocking the status process.

“Had it not been for Russia’s obstruction, Kosovo would have been independent three moths ago,” Thaci concluded.

ask for whatever you want, but do not expect to get presents you do not deserve!

that doesn´t look like the Albanians have a smart idea how to go on. of course, they are boasting about declaring "independence" unlaterally, but that´s they have got left to do...

no, slowly, but clearly someone is starting to smell reality.

emboldening news for the Albanians, isn´t it?

"Sejdiu stressed that Priština team will head to the Austrian capital with a clear negotiating platform comprised of three elements: insisting on independence, territorial integrity and the Ahtisaari plan.

“The Albanian side is not inclined towards reopening the issues that had already been discussed in negotiations,” he said, adding that Priština and Belgrade can only talk about technical matters that require elaboration.

“We are talking about the issues regarding future relations between the two states, Serbia and Kosovo, including succession of assets and the liberalization of the cross-border regime,” Sejdiu said.

Wishful thinking by the Albanian leaders. Moscow already declared Ahtisaari RIP.

Thaci can ask, even beg. But it will come to nought.

And if the Albanians are only going to discuss "technical issues", the talks will fail. Why even bother to go to Vienna then?

You still did not get it?
Serbia is a unique case. It committed barbaric crimes against 2 millions of its citizens. It is like a man, who badly mistreated his wife and kids. How can you compare democratic civilized Italy with undemocratic Serbia? When did Italy try to empty South-Tirol of its German speaking inhabitants?
Think many times before you come up with such examples. It just hurts your case in front of all well informed people.

Why are the Kosovars so arrogant? "We will become a state".

If that ever happens it is soley because of NATO help.

What about the people in Tibet? What about the Kurds?

And "territorial integrety"? What a joke! What about the territorial integrety of Serbia.

Kosovo is part of Serbia. Like South Tirol is part of Italy....

Please don't start changing borders!

So, it still is going to be independent with or without russia. The way I see it russia is making more enemies.
With Kosova joining Nato or EU (sooner or later) that means another country against SCO and russian anything, it only strengthens USA towards world dominance. Either way, russia loses.
