Hague: Gotovina asks for house arrest

Croatian General Ante Gotovina, accused of war crimes, filed a motion for provisional release pending trial Thursday.

I think he should be able to go home till the trial. It will be a good start for his presidential campaign. There are many Americans that are looking to help him become croatias next leader.

Princip, unfortunately its not a joke, even though the whole tribunal is.
He will probably be granted it after a little US and GB pressure is applied to the "impartial" judges in Hague...
After all this tribunal is not created for punishing other people than the serbs. Just look at Haradinaj, he was quickly released.

On the surface, it may seem like a joke, but it is not. Gotovina is asking for home confinement because he wants to spend time with his family before he spends the rest of his life in prison. Gotovina knows he is guilty and knows he will never see the light of day after he is convicted.
