Guess what guys , I have a suprise; ' Minister was atttacked and even beeat in up by K-serb KPS offciers from Graqanica station with orders coming from K-serb Station Commander. This is intermnal politics between K-serbs. So, I am not suprise to see serbs for serbia proper or abroad defndind KPS for the first time, but just day before they were bashing KPS for the abonden serb house that burned down. You are the masters of contradiction.

It matters not where one lives at times police abuse their power. By nature police are there to protect the status quo no matter how just or unjust the system. They are instruments of the state protecting the status quo particularly if there are no independent police commissions. We have had situations where police pepper spray children after a soccer game as well as peaceful demonstrators against globalization as well as more serious incidences where a drunk was killed by a policeman at the time of arrest. I am sure that there are politicians in Kosovo parliament former members of the KLA who had a hand in killing policemen on the Kosovo roads who were simply doing their duty like this policeman did with Grbic. Verbal abuse of police is common and police officers I would hope are trained to deal with this but killing a police officer on a highway is a cowardly act regardless of the status quo. Anyone accused of drunk driving should wind up behind bars and a proper test, blood or breath, should be taken to ascertain guilt since we all pay the price for drunk drivers. Regardless of what this police officer did in Anna’s case this is a separate issue

What a propaganda, as if there's no crime in Kosovo and police are booking speeding tickets only. Conclusion? If there was no Serbs in Kosovo the police would be left without jobs.

Well Well Well. This has the hallmarks of an Albanian propaganda stunt. Honest hardworking Albanian policeman standing up to Big bad DRUNKEN SERBIAN politician. I can just see the artist impression now. Fat unshaven Serb with a cigarette in one hand and Sljivovica in the offer. Threatening a pimple faced Albanian police officer.
Get over it the lot of you do-gooder Albanians. I bet if the driver was the daughter of a prominent Albanian politician the police would have given her an escort to ensure she gets to her destination quicker. Oh that’s right Albanian women aren’t allowed to drive.

There are two things that most Albanian posters here seem to forget (or choose to forget)

1. Not all Serbs are blindly defending fellow Serbs, just because they happen to be 'Serbs'.

2. Serbia 2007 is not the same as Serbia 1997 or 1987. That's what one of the posters above already said: police would not tolerate this nowadays.

Don't be fooled by bad Serbian politicians, crappy TV or some of the posters on this forum: Most of us are normal, friendly, hospitable, hardworking people. Probably exactly like most Albanians.
And these normal people don't appreciate drunk politicians trying to abuse their position to avoid paying a speeding ticket.

I guess that's all there is to this story.

Well given how the news out of Kosovo are often portrayed it would not have surprised me if this incident had been seen in the same Serb vs Albanians light. Everytime a haystack goes up in flames or a cow is killed or wahetever it is portrayed as a sinister plot to kick the Serbs out etc. So I was just curious how this incident would be seen. Until now it has been pleasantly surprising.
And Zeka NO I do not think this incident will affect anything. I was just making a comment on how biased both sides here are (including myself).

Teni- That's ridiculous. You are clutching at straws trying to find justification for your views. It's just another example of you fitting the facts to suit your dreams. Are you seriously suggesting one drunken incident should influence the outcome of negotiations. You've lost me.

Why isn't he still in jail for assaulting a policeman?

Anyway a great example of primitivism and stupidity. The same kind of traits that probably lead to his unfortunate decision to collaborate with the 'regime' in Pristina and become a token minister for the return of nobody...

If Grbic was driving I hope he is charged with Drink-driving as well as assaulting a police officer. I hope the cellphone footage is clear so that this can/can't be misconstrued as an inter-ethnic incident.

This is one of thjose incidents that will illustrate how far appart the Serb and Albanian supporters in this site stand. All Albanians are gonna believe the police and actually knowing how most ministers in the Balkans, regardless of ethnicity, behave it is very probable that this Grbic guy did everything he is accused of. The Serb supporters on the other hand are gonna conclude that the Serbs are being intimidated and discriminated and that if a minister can be arrested what of the ordinary Serbs who live in Kosovo and what not. Let's wait and see.

No Teni if you speed pay your ticket and go home. When and if you are under the influence of alcohol then best shut up and go home instead of getting yourself arrested. This is not the 90's, now the the police could have whip his arse but they did not reported the incident and did there job.
