If its good enough for England and US its good enough for Serbia. In which case they will offer us to keep Kosovo for our allegiance. I still say no. We dont have to do anything but say NO.

Suzi,
At least you are not hiding your radical, nationalist views by stating "The future success for Serbia must be the assimilation of all ethnic groups within the country". In your view Hungarians, Albanians and others should disappear, assimilate. Princip, Kate, Zoran, PB did not want yet to spell it out so bluntly. Kostunica most likely thinks like you. It shows that in Serbia nothing changed.

Suzi,
I think your coments about Roma and other minor ethnicities to keep links with Belgrad it does not make sense,Serbia has the worse record for respecting and protecting minorities.
I would sugest you do reaserch about this issue and aske the romas, bosnian, vojvodinas, albanians who live in serbia not Kosovo.

Typical, the man who bombed Serbia in 1999 appoints a descendant of the people who bombed Yugoslavia in 1941. Why bother with them?

So now we start again.
Let's hope and pray that this time it will be done according to respect for international law and sovereign territory of Serbia.
Let's hope that Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija will not have to consider living in a strange country. Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija must have the legitimate right to live in their own country of Serbia and Serbs from the world diaspora must have the legitmate right to visit their medieval and spiritual heartland in the country Serbia, and not some illegally invented idea that has only meaning for one ethnic separatist group.
The ethnic Albanians who live in Serbia's southern province can only seek self-governance within Serbia and this they must obtain for the sake of peace and stability and the economy. The Serbs from Kosmet, and Roma and others keep their link, also, with Belgrade Government.
The future success for Serbia must be the assimilation of all ethnic groups within the country.

Roger7,
Don't expect too much from Herr Ischinger in the next 120 days. He tends to be sarcastic with the Americans' 4 years. Well the 4 months for the troyka - where he is just 1 of 3 - is even shorter.
I know the Germans well, I lived and worked with them for 8 years. They have great qualities but also this "superior" feeling that somehow God created them smarter. But by time the next generations - in this globalized world - will show much more respect for other people/countries.

Quoting Wolfgang Ischinger (2005 Munich Conference on Security Policy), "As older societies, we tend to think of ourselves as more experienced in the way societies evolve, and we tend to be skeptical of Americans who seem to think that if you believe hard enough, and you muster enough resources, you can change the world...In the last year or so, as we've engaged in discussions about the transformation of the Middle East and democracy, I have told my American friends that the region in this world that has seen the most transformation and change is Central and Eastern Europe--without shedding a drop of blood. So don't preach to us. And don't think transformative change will work according to mechanistic rules. This is very complicated. Changing the way people think often has to do with religious and cultural issues--we tend to think of them as long-term, and Americans think, Let's solve the problem in the next four years!"

So, we will soon see if Mr. Ischinger is true to his word.
