I agree Rozzy, there should be no statute of limitations on genocide.

50,000 is a paltry sum. An unarmed bank robber in Canada would have a bounty of $100,000 on him.

Shame on the Austrians. Unlike Germany, they still keep pulling the covers over their heads on their dark past.

I am Jewish, and my best friend is a Polish Catholic. He does think that the Nazis having killed millions of Jews is God awful. On the other hand,he made a comment that was very upsetting to me.He said,"the remaining Nazis are near the end of their lives. Why bother putting them in jail? What good would it do?" Instead of getting angry, I explained that these men were and are mass murderers. I told him that what they did is to never be forgiven. They did what they did, and it will never be forgotten. As Simon Wiesnthal said many times, "We must never forget. It could easily happen all over again." I know he didn't mean anything by it; but when someone says that, it touches my nerves. He demonstrated that the world doesn't really care anymore. What could happen if this country decided to no longer keep their eyes and ears open as to what happened on 9/11?

I agree with you completely, Canadien. Also aside from Germany, Croatia & the Vatican STILL need to make restituion for the Nazi atrocities.

But, I guess we will see donkeys fly first!

Canadien,

Je suis d'accord avec toi. C'est ridicule!

The award should be at least 1M$. And Serbia should do the same with its own war criminals: offering awards instead of free asyllum.

What is your opinion on this?

"The wheels of justice move slowly"..so the saying goes. Really this is sad and I am positive that this person could have been brought to justice years earlier. What type of punishment will he serve? A government nursing home? How many witnesses are still alive to testify against him?..I guess it better than nothing.

130,000 euro reward for information leading to his arrest! This reward money is NOTHING! You would think if Germany (a wealthy country) was really serious about getting this guy they would offer 1 Million Euros! This is a joke...
