Yes Dino, that's a good recommendation to win the Big Brother contest. Seems to me that it shows something more then discriminiation. But OK, he won, wow, great! But stick to other things. Discrimination against anyone else then a Croat is still very visible there. Even me, as Dutchman, with a Serbian accent was discriminated because of that!

Didn't a large group of Roma in Slovenia, including mainly children, last year have to be relocated to a military barracks after the Slovenian townspeople threatened to kill them? And in Kosovo many of them still can't return safely to their homes.

As for Croatia I've read of discrimination against Roma students and a teacher who bashed a Roma child's head against a wall.

Lollee, man, where do you get your information on? what do you consider "more lenient". Sounds like you were blowing hot air more than anything. Oh and in your reference to Croatia, a Roma was voted by Croatian people to win Big Brother. How about that eh for a "fascist" country? please, should look at your own backyard before peeking into someone elses.

Although I do not at all condone such deplorable behaviour, it must be noted that Serbia is far more tolerant towards their Roma populations than thier European counterparts such as Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. The plight of the Roma is a well known problem which Serbia actually is considered one of the more lenient countries. Slovakia and Hungary have such tensions that a pogrom against the Romas is more norm than uncommon.
