Role of Contact Group in Kosovo case

The contact group has NO legal powers what so ever in the World. They are trying to make themselves so more important then they are. The final decision must be made by the UNSC. And we all know that legal independence will never be passed through the UNSC. The closer we get to the end of the year the less interest the Americans will have in the issue of Kosovo since campaigns will be in full swing for the 2008 election in the US. No American presidential leader will want to be associated with another conflict during this time and Bush will have to tone it down for the sake of his own party's campaigns.

Yes it's up to serbia to give up claims to a province that was included in the Yugoslav constitution, not serbia's. If serbia wants to be recognized as it successor then it should have shown the world it meant business by paying all Kosova citizens its pensions and back pay for all those years they suspended Albanians from their jobs and pensions. Otherwise, serbia as yugoslavia's successor has no legal case to keep Kosova if it still witholds all pensions and monies owed to kosova Albanians.

CANADIEN, just to let you know that the interest of Americans for Kosova will not go down at all since we the albanians have great connections with both parties in USA. Also, Kosova is a case of success for America where America successfully launched a war against the serbian occupation of Kosova and freed it. Just to remind you that all the US candidates in America both republicans and democrats are for the independence of Kosova. I would suggest you to not hope for this at all because it will not happen as u wish.
Kosova is independent in one way or another. Like it or not, this is the reality.

Serbia is the successor state of Yugoslavia. Perhaps if she read media other than the Albanian press she would know this.
Also, since she is so concerned about monies allegedly owed to Albanians living in Kosmet, she would consider asking those same Albanians to pay the back taxes due to the state in which they reside.
Her statementsd about "legality" are childish and without substance.
Kosmet is an inalienable part of Serbia. the world knows this and not all the American promises can change this.
