I am a student in Kosovo, I'm in the third year of my studies and I still did not see any kind of weapon or even a small knife belonging to any student in Prishtina University, I never saw any fight or quarrel between students. Please read the interviews of students from Balgrade who participated in the Prishtina Summer University.

Olf you said > "Serbia is in a same state as well."

Not by a long shot my friend! And I know this because I work there at least 4 months in a year and also spend working another 3 or 3 months in the other Former Yugoslav states and Kosovo except for Slovenia. I have seen the situation on the ground in Serbia and Kosovo and one cannot conclude they are the same. Perhaps you need to visit Serbia to see for yourself of course you will counter back by saying that you have no interest in visiting Serbia, in that case sir, speak about what you know and not what you think!

Which data shows that every 5th student in Kosovo bears arms...? Come on guys, there is no registration of the overall popullation, and you're talking about specific data. Hope to host you in the independent Kosovo (and then check the 5th student, if he/she has a gun or a Kosovar passport with him/her)

...And where are the Albanians that have spoken in this magazine? Why only put in this article what the Serbs are saying? Is this professionalism B92 or bias, and Serbian propaganda? Why not put in the article the opinions that your "full-fledged" citizens of Albanian ethnicity have, or are they not "full-fledged" so their opinions don't deserve to be on Serbian media, just like they didn't deserve to vote for the constitution?

Olf,

and could you tell me what the Unemployment level in the rest of Serbia is? You clearly did not want to mention the inverse level of 26% http://webrzs.statserb.sr.gov.yu/axd/en/drugastrana.php?Sifra=0014&izbor=odel&tab=150 - yes high but a damn sight lower then the 70%+ unemployment in Kosovo & Metohija!

Also note the fact that Serbia (exclusive of it's province) since the massive air bombardment has not received the billions that has supposedly flowed into the pockets of a few and not the ordinary folk of Kosovo & Metohija. While the rest of Serbia has picked itself up and got on with creating an economic revival in the last 8 years through it's own means. If we were to compare the per capita inward flows from the UN and applied that to the rest of Serbia then it's fair to state (ceteris paribus) there would be even less unemployment and Serbia would be seen as an economic miracle beyond the 'Balkan tiger' some have already ascribed to Serbia. This year economic growth in the 1st quater has been 8.7%
http://webrzs.statserb.sr.gov.yu/axd/en/index1.php?SifraV=187&Link=
- and that at a time when the government was being formed!

So what has happened with all the funds that went into Kosovo & Metohija? It is clear that the average citizen has seen very very little of it. The rest of Serbia may have issues that are common to East European transition and the air bombardment but it certainly is getting on with doing things without hand outs and making the right investments choices.

Serbia is in a same state as well. Organised crime, unemployment, corruption are part of everyday life in Serbia as well. I will use your comment to help and balance the picture somehow:
Under the current Serbia regime and 'criminal' tutelage the Serbia has been run into the ground unemployment and greater strangle hold of the ordinary citizen by the 'few' who have filled out their bank accounts at the expense of the ordinary citizen. Those same 'few' are suffocating the lives of all others by leading them into the false hope of undeliverable promises. Time for reality of the state your in so that reconciliation and economic development that all deserve can begin.

Princip, see B92 in Serbian. It will prove my point.

Below is a snipet from a goole bio on Mr. Kouchner. He has done some good for the world, I suppose but when I saw him kissing some old Albanian dude in a recent B92 article, I saw the whole picture......"Finally, in July of 1999, he became the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations and Head of the UN Mission in Kosovo. His actions there were very different from the normal; in fact, Kouchner chose expediency over bureaucratic niceties and occasionally ruffled feathers. In one colorful moment, Kouchner savaged a visiting UN human rights envoy by telling him to "shut up." The envoy called the province a haven for organized crime in his description upon returning. Kouchner dismissed the description as unfair and shameful. Click to read more about Mr. Kouchner. http://myhero.com/myhero/hero.asp?hero=kouchner_fredericksburg_04

Is there anyone that is impartial in this scenario?

Princip, it is not only neglect of economy. Under UNSEC 1244, Kosovo and Metohija is recognized as a part of Serbia and KFOR/UNMIK are occupying force bound by The Fourth Geneva Convention (GIV).

Since June 18 1999, counties who contributed forces for KFOR and staff for UNMIK are responsible for violations of GIV during their mandate.

//us.f513.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.rand=1bd6heh9grq6f

Gross violations of GIV are war crimes:

- forcible expulsion of over 240 000 Kosovo citizens from Kosovo (approx. 1/8 of the population)

-Resetllement of alien nationals (citizens of Albania) on their homesteads

- widespread destruction of individual and commercial real estate belonging to Serbs, Roma and other non-Albanians.

-widespread theft of individual and commercial real estate belonging to Serbs, Roma and other non-Albanians.

-destruction of religious and cultural sites

-destruction of infrastructure (e.g. railroads)

-Allowing the climate of impunity for hate crimes

I bleieve that counties who advocate Kosovo independence actually want to get themselves off the hook for the crimes they are responsible under GIV.

Also, countries who contribute occupying force and who are signatories of ICC are bound by Rome Statute for war crimes comitted after April 11, 2002.

Serbian goverment should threaten to sue them through ICC if they do not retract support for illegal Kosovo independence.

Independent "kosova" will not let them off the hook for the crimes comitted in Kosovo.

The Italians are being told the truth about the last 8 years. Under the UNMIK (Kouchner being the 1st administrator) and 'criminal' tutelage the Serbian province has been run into the ground with 70% unemployment and greater strangle hold of the ordinary citizen by the 'few' who have filled out their bank accounts at the expense of teh ordinary citizen. Those same 'few' are suffocating the lives of all others by leading them into the false hope of undelivearble promises.
