in the meantime Serbia is being armed by the US and it´s officers are being trained in Ohio... and you are still dreaming of albanian superiority, as we all can see it by looking on your nick-name which clearly shows that you believe in the myth of being illyrian...

Yes, Ponos will obey orders. He will stay at the border between Kosovo and Serbia not daring to step into Kosovo. He will obey the power, 'cause there is no escape. Serbia lost. Kosovo won.

Ponos army?! Is that army the last attraction for tourists or a brand-new toy?
What is sure is that this army is useless in defending any cause and dangerous only for Serbia. Open your eyes, Serbia needs jobs, development, houses, etc. not one more hara-kiri gadget! Haven’t you had enough of these time and energy-consuming rituals?

Hey Lili, It is not Ponos's army. Of course he will do what he is instructed to do from Belgrade. That's the way a country's military works, by constitutional powers... otherwise, it's called a coup. And please, no more pity from you, direct your sorrow towards the K_Albanians that will see their hopes die this summer. Peace to all.

Thank you Lilly, but we do not need your sympathy. Is it not normal for any states army to follow the orders of the state leaders as set out in it's constitution. Did American soldiers not go into Iraq to do the Commander in Chief's dirty work? Stop critisizing everything that comes out of Belgrade. I never see you say anything critical about the suspect Pristina leaders, why?

From recent statements from western military sources it is obvious that NATO officers hold the Serbian Army in high esteem for their professionalism. The Serb Army will never need to fight an offensive war in Kosovo due to the fact that you will have a permanent EU/NATO force there and no Serb needs to threaten war because war only destroys when what is really needed for all people in the Balkans is to build.

This is the way it is and the way it should be. No army in any democratic state does anything without the consent of government. If you find this unusual perhaps this is because where you live in Kosovo the people with the guns also run the provisional interim institutions, not good, not democratic, not safe and not something to boast about. The term 'military junta' would apply except the KLA are not the military, merely terrorists. Maybe a new term could be coined for places such as Kosovo, Gaza, southern Lebanon, 'Terrorist Junta'.

Of course he knows where Mladic is, and he also knows that 1000s of war criminals (soldiers, paramilitaries, policemen, militia men...) are hiding in Serbia. These criminals will never be bothered because they have defended the nation, by killing innocent men and raping their wife!

I am appaled when I hear a Serb saying: «The army will follow orders.» And it means all orders: even the one to participate in a a systematic campaign of rape as in 1992, extermination of non-serb population.

If I were a Serb, I would be ashamed to be governed by such people who definitely show a very poor judgment in their comments.

If anything were to happen in Kosovo and UN/NATO/EU didnt act. Serbs would rally and politicians would have to act. So military as an extension would be used and they are trying to divert blame so our military is not unjustifiable blamed like it was in the 90s.

But if NATO retreats because of alban terrorists guerilla attacks. Then Serbs will send in troops to reclaim their territory. Simple really. You think the Americans will justify or be able to justify to their people why their soldiers are being killed by people they are protecting. Especially when they have problems in Iraq, Afghanistan, and soon with Syria and Iran. On top of this Kosovo? I DON'T THINK SO.

Lilly...

you should really feel sorrow for the K-albanians for being ping-ponged by the US...

but you are still unwilling to see what is unfolding in front of your nose...

Lilly

It will follow civilian orders but only when these are passed by the parliament as law? Nice doublespeak this Ponos is trying on its own people.

It's obvioius Ponos is diverting 'blame' of any future action by the military onto the civilian 'leaders' and any future 'civil' action onto them again.

I feel sorry for the ordinary Serbian people who know they are being 'ping-ponged' by their own institution leaders.
