Greek diplomat summoned home over Macedonia comments

The ambassador is right. Finaly an intelligent Greek, who feels that his country's bullying stand is ridiculous.
Macedonia was always called Macedonia just like Bavaria was always Bavaria, Transylvania Transylvania, etc. I can imagine what a big bully Greece would be in the neighborhood if it would have the population of France, Italy or Germany.

People are going to call themselves whatever they feel like so the Greeks need to let go of this insignificant issue.

Modern day Macedonians are not the macedonians they claim to be since ancient macedonians were basiclly greeks.

It would in Macedonias interest to further upset Greece and Serbia if they intend to join the NATO and the more important EU clubs.

Actually, Serbian Macedonia was called "Southern Serbia" not Macedonia. The name Macedonia is purly Greek and they have right and title to that name!

The Greeks continue to shoot themselves in the foot. Who are they fooling with this "Macedonia is Greek heritage"? The northern section of Greece used to belong to Macedonia. I guess this is the "heritage" they are talking about, they claim land that's not theirs. Besides, every time I go to Northern Greece or Aegean Macedonia, people there speak Macedonian, not Greek.

It really matters not what macedonia is called as it will end up partitioned as it already is, there are no macedonian police in albanian areas even now
