Here goes the UN again - putting their two cents in where it doesn't belong.

Please focus on Darfur & other third world nations that REALLY need & care for your thoughts -

Oh, I forgot, China beat you to most of Africa - why not focus on the rest?

Have a look at the division of Cyprus and you will see what Kosovo will be in 20 years. The turkish north is poor, while the Greek south is rich and flourishing. Similarly, Serbia will be rich and albanian dominated kosovo, along with albanian proper, will remain the backwater of Europe. The north of Cyprus is not recognized by the UN as a country, only turkey recognizes it. The Americans could have easily told the turks to get their invading troops out of there, but they want to maintain their bases in turkey from where they can bomb Iraq or anywhere else in the mideast. You notice that the americans don't say a peep about indendence for the Kurds in Turkey even though they are treated far worse than albanians in Kosovo ever were. Kosovo albanians have been offered the most broad autonomy by the Serbian government than any other minority in Europe, and it is still not good enough.
It seems like wherever americans stick their nose, there is nothing but problems. I look forward to Russia sticking its nose further into the Balkans, we need that balance in order to have some justice. No justice, no peace.
