As for the Serb turned over to the Croats by the Canadians, where did this happen? I have never heard of this before?

Let me refresh your memory:

Operation Storm was launched from Croatia, broke through UN protected lines which broke an international cease fire and UN protected zone in Krajina, Croatia. There were Canadian UN Officers within those lines.

Operation storm was against the UN charter but fully supported by the United States and US Ambassador Galbraith.

It is estimated that between 300,000 to 500,000 Serbs left their ancesterol homes never to return. Only the elderly remained and they were in many cases shot and killed in front of UN Canadian Personnel. This is the legacy of Operation Storm, and if you need confirmation from a Canadian perspective:

Please refer to former General Mackenzie who was the UN General stationed in Sarajevo. If you want a political perpective, refer to James Bisset, former Canadian Ambassador to Yugoslavia.

Your comments should be stricken from B-92, they are not factual, defammatory and libelous and slanderous.

Victor, how do you know Croats committed fewer war crimes than Serbs? Operation Storm was ugly. You can write I believe or I think such and such, but not: "Of course, the Serbs committed more war crimes"...you weren't there, were you?

Ida,

I have read in reports that Serbs also decapitated their victims during the war in Bosnia., especially in Srebrenica.

I do not know how many Croat civilians were killed by the Serbs, and how many Serb civilians killed by the Croat? Do you have statistics?

The Croats killed more civilians and women; Serbs attacked Croat forces so it is almost totally Croat soldiers and police that were killed.

Croats also decapitated Serbs and this was witnessed by Canadians, who turned a trembling Serb man over to Croat police only to find him a few hours later dead and decapitated.

Victor and B92: As a regular on this web site, I am continuously shocked by the non-stop ethnic and religious chauvenism exhibited by this commentator. If the purpose is to rile and irritate, I am sure that there are other means in doing so. Have you tried counseling? By allowing this constant barrage of negativism, how are we have a normal dialogue? Afterall, isn't a victim a victim, a crime a crime?

The Croats imlicated in waar crimes have to be put on trial in Croatia or sent to The Hague. Of course, they are fewer that the Serb war criminals, but justice has to be done to the victims and their families.
