Like first, you should recognize difference between protest/protesting and commemorative ceremony.
Like second, you should recognize difference between messages spread from T-shirts of Gazimestan and Vetvendosje participants and members...
Like third, with 'I guess Albanians are not nationalists' you can not provoke Albanian nationalism...

well, maybe albanians don't care much about Kosova after all! Maybe they just want to live there, or something like that...
that more serbs could make it to that alleged site of an alleged serbian mythological battle, i don't know. As a matter of fact, the battle those serbs gathered there to commemorate, was fought by albanians alongside with serbs, and other nations. the only historical clue that may connect that event to serbian "history" is just the death of prince Lasar; and that's it. But the turks did break the allied forces, and they did beat them badly. 1389 is not the year you lost Kosovo to the turks, it's just the year you consumed the first defeat against the turks, and the year of death of Lazar. I can't see this fact as "caring" much about Kosovo!
Now i don't understand one thing...
Kfor attended the serbian pilgrims in order to ascertain their security, not to make sure they didn't cause any harm; but Kfor accompained the albanian rralye in order to control them; and that is a matter of fact, as Albin Kurti is still jailed on no basis and no accusations, and this all after the Romanian "peace" police shot dead two albanians. thence i can understand the difference.
That serbs are nationalists is not an unknown fact... everybody in this world is; who the less who the more. that's no problem at all!, the problem is when this nationalism is built upon hatred against other nations.

People have the right to peacefully demonstrate and I congratulate the Albanians for keeping everything peaceful. If peaceful demonstrations are the worst things to happen in Kosovo even after autonomy is agrred upon by the UNSC it will be a good thing for all the people because it will show a level of political maturity and a view to the future as opposed to the past.A brighter future awaits Kosovo within a Serbian confederation which will speed entry for Kosovo into the EU in a much shorter period of time than if it was to try on its own.

I saw images from the manifestation and i can say that it was exiting, best an most moving part when they rised up a giant albanian flag and the most hillarious whe they throwed into the UN administration building courtyard a very big package simbol of the ahtisari plan.It was a beautiful and paceful protest.

Really simple,
allow me to break it down for you... MOST ALBANIANS WOULD ACCEPT AUTONOMY, rather then being pawns and slaves until we took Kosovo back. Its just the way it is. Majority of albanians realise it. Its obvious by the lack of action on their part. This is also the way that Bush and Putin will see it right b4 their summit at Bushes home in Maine.

As for the numbers im glad that you are showing ur true colours by denying what was in the news not even 24h ago. Serbs had well over a thousand of them at the field, who came from the north with a military escort which is just as likely to shoot them, as anyone to attack them and showed they CARE and LOVE that land. While in Pristina there are about 500000 albans and a mere 600 left their homes to attend a rally to get according to CNN... THEIR ALL SO COVETED INDEPENDENCE. So spare me your perspective when the silent majority has spoken.

(even if it´s not importantn )once again an albanian is trying to mislead here in the forum..

there were far more than 200 persons gathered, it can be seen on footage from several sources...so, who for the heck of it is this boy trying to decieve? nice try, but without any chance of success, as usual.

That's true Cvele. Maybe there is a bigger noise on this site from pro-independence Albanians, than there are in Kosovo? We only know what we read actually. As for what the commentators post here, that is all biased opinion.

Blackey, the US, led by Clinton and Co., had to paint the Serbians as war-mongering, brutal nationalists in order to justify there illegal war. There agenda was to rid the Balkans of Milosevic and establish themselves there. Milosevic's departure was good but, the West was dirty in the way they did it.

Portraying the Serbians as nationalists must continue in the Western media, otherwise the West's agenda will weaken.

Whats funny is more Serbs made it to Vidovdan in the middle of "independent" Kosovo (according to some). Then albans for the rally for an independent Kosovo in Pristina. I guess its obvious who cares about Kosovo more.

CVELE or who ever you are;
I attended thi rally to and yes it was peacfull by any and all western standards. Wrong about numbers becasue I know how many serbs took part during Vidovdan in gazemistan, they were little over 200.
As far as KAN activist we all know about them. I do not know what are you trying to say.

I guess if "Peacefully" means no one got killed or beaten, then yes, but the protest didn't sound too peaceful to me. Throwing things, burning effigies, and making veiled threats doesn't sound too peaceful. To me the ceremony the Serbs had marking the Kosovo battle on June 28th sounded more peaceful where nothing war burned and nothing was thrown at any government buildings.

Anyhow, I did find it amusing to read in the western papers and online sites how they referred to this protest. The word "Nationalist" was never used to refer to the Albanians. However, if you were to read about the gathering of Serbs for the June 28th ceremony, you find that the articles are riddled with "Serb nationalists"... I just love Western media bias. It's no longer even subtle. Now you can clearly see a distinction in how they refer to both sides. The Western media is still hell bent on portraying the Serbs one way, but when it comes to the Albanian side, they are painted as peaceful.

It reminds me of how CNN would refer to the terrorists in the West Bank and Gaza as "Freedom fighters" but when car bombs and attacks occur in America or the UK, the people are referred to as terrorists.

The point I'm making is that often there is a clear bias in reporting. It would be nice if articles on the Albanian protests mirrored that of the ones on the Serbs. Let's be fair. Had this protest been staged by Serbs, you'd find "Nationalist" thrown in.

I guess Albanians are not nationalists.
