@Mario

Croatia started the war when they declared independence illegally and when Croatian militias started attacking JNA soldiers and JNA strongholds. So technically Croatia (if we are to believe that Croatia represents the Croat people) attacked Serbia (if we are to believe that Serbia represents the Serb people) first.

Zoran, at the same time, there is existing evidence of serb crimes in ww2. remember 200-odd mass graves of croatian that were dug up in Slovenia, all from Bleiburg? many of those were innocent of anything. All killed by mostly serb partisan army and cetniks. yeah im happy for all of it to come out. I dont think croatia is trying to hide anything. However, lets have those documents that serbia is hiding from Hague. why not? if serbia is so innocent then release them.

Croatia can drop it the "charges" if it wishes...really this is showing us they can't prove their case.

Serbia will still sue Croatia for operation storm and more importantly for its crimes against Serbs in WW2 which are unspeakable in the level of brutality!

SEE YOU IN COURT CROATIA!!!

The hypocrisy of Croatia’s lawsuit is amazing. Why don’t the Serb refugees/exiles of Srpska Krajina file a lawsuit against Croatia?

The only genocide to have taken place on Croatian territory in the 20th century was committed by Croats between 1941-45. The victims were (in order of most liquadated) Serbs, Roman, Jews, opponents of the Pavelic regime.

To compare the conflict on Croatian soil in the 1990's with the horrors of Jasenovac and the NDH terror cheapens the memory of all killed in the second world war genocide. Be ashamed.

This world is becoming more strange and idiotic by the day! Croatia, a country with a verified history of committing genocide and ethnic cleansing against Serbs, Italians, Jews, Roma, Slavic Muslims is now trying to accuse the main victim of their atrocities of genocide. This is a very effective but not so clever tactic to deflect and cover up their own misdeeds. There should not be any settlement with the true perpetrators and aggressors (Croatia), let them bring it to trial with their fabricated nonsense so Serbia can counter sue with documented evidence going back to WWII and force the Croatian government to pay billions in reparation to Serbs.

Quoted from Alija Izetbegovic’s "Islamic Declaration" "... The first and foremost of such conclusions is surely the one on the incompatibility of Islam and non-Islamic systems. There can be no peace or coexistence between the "Islamic faith" and non- Islamic societies and political institutions. ... Islam clearly excludes the right and possibility of activity of any strange ideology on its own turf. Therefore, there is no question of any laicistic principles, and the state should be an expression and should support the moral concepts of the religion. ..." My point is not to diminish anyone elses guilt, but to clearly show that many others perpetuated hatred in the Balkans.

«It also ruled that Serbia failed to use its influence with Bosnian Serbs to prevent the genocide of Bosnian Muslims at Srebrenica. »

How could Serbia use its influence to stop the genocide in Bosnia when we all know that Milosevic had adhered to the joint criminal enterprise as planned by Karadzic to eradicate all non-Serbs from certain territories coveted by the Serbs to create the New State, Greater Serbia. And Biljana Plavsic, the concepter of the idea that racial purification as a natural phenomenon, did not help in stopping the genocide, and constituted, in my sense, the morale decision to perpetrate it.

if bosnia didnt prove genocide, i doubt croatia can. but there is more to it than just genocide. whilst a ruling may exonnerate serbia, its involvement will most certainly be mentioned, which is the true goal of the lawsuit i believe.
