2 KFOR soldiers killed in Kosovo road accidents

I had the pleasure of talking to an American woman who's son was in Kosovo during the massive protest a few months back. The one where the Albanians threw paint at the UN and the Romanian soldiers fired on the protestors. She said her son told her that Albanians were shooting at the UN soldiers with real bullets. That a few were injured.

I wonder why that kind of information never gets out. I find it suspicious that there are TWO car accidents for KFOR soldiers in one day with deaths in both. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but from what I hear... first hand accounts in the past... there is a lot more going on than the media is led to believe.

Perhaps it's nothing, but it would look rather embarrassing for the EU and US if these were attacks by Albanian nationalists. I'm sure they'd like to keep such information from leaking out.

And for those who think the military never lies... I'd suggest you go back and read up on Matt Tillman who died in Afghanistan or Jessica Lynch from Iraq. Both stories were fabricated by the military in order to make them out to be heroes. The truth was COMPLETELY different story. So yes, the military lies... especially if it affects politics.

This story sounds suspicious to me. I have my doubts that these incidents were accidents. If they were than why not release full details? Someone is covering up these incidents because the truth does not support their agenda.

Blackky, have you been a soldier, may I ask? Ordinary, soldiers don't lie. Often, officers can midify the truth for various reasons, and even the politicians can force the officers on the terrain to modify the real version.

As a former soldier, I can tell you this.

I was a US KFOR Soldier from 2005-2007 and was in theater during the massive protests. I can assure you that all evidence points that these were 'non - lethal munitions'.

The real debate about that is why do civilians cause a threat to intl police and officials, act in a violent manner, and then complain when the table is turned?

Furthermore, to any sort of theory that motor accidents in the same day are a conspiracy I often asked myself in the 22 months in the province and the 45,000 miles driven why I was not in any vehicle accidents? I am from the US Tri - State area and no New Yorker is as bad as a Kosovo driver.

While stationed in Kosovo, French KFOR lost a few men when a armored car overturned near Kosvoska Mitrovica / Mitrovice and I believe Spanish KFOR lost men near Istok/Istog.

I am surprised to hear that Switzerland has soldiers in Kosovo considering the fact that the Swiss do not even wanna join an economic union in Europe(EU).As far as the military is concerned lying is an art form and the majority of released information should be more accurately labeled DISINFORMATION.

Accidents do happen, as well as "friendly fire".

I believe more American soldiers died of accidents/friendly fire in the first Gulf War than did by enemy fire.

Officers/gov set up the Lynch/Tillman stories along with reluctant though initially cooperative soldiers.

If this was some form of fabrication, it will eventually get out, though it may take months/years.

Solider will lie when instructed to lie by their chain of command. By the way were you one of those Canadien-Croatians that volunteered for the Croatian army and went back to Yugoslavia to fight the evil Serbs? I know many Croatians in Canada did so, and many never came back to Canada.

This is KFOR we are talking about and not JNA. Very few of you would remember the "Kelmendi" case in 1987 when JNA came up with a story that " Vojnik Kelmendi" killed few JNA soldiers.
KFOR will definately come out with a full story next Week.

my husband is currently in kfor8 and he doesnt even know what really happen. how could the media be able to inform so much if even the soldiers who are there dont even know?? its awful that soldiers find their deaths by doing a peacekeeping mission. i wonder why these government put people to protect other people who dont appreciate it.

These are comments coming from Blacky. I want Blacky to put his money where his mouth is. I work with police in Kosova and high level and was that same day in capitol of Kosova, which is Prishtina in case you did not know and no such thing ever took place. i mean your lies about protestters using real bullets. there was no bullets real or faked ever used by any protester.This is the reason that ever again no serb and Albanina can live in same country. You got serbia and we got Kosova and that is wher eeverything will end up.

As far as I know there are no K-Alb. living in that area, becasue I have conducted checkpoints in that area with my fellow soldiers many times and I know the make up of population. Maybe, Blacky can shed some light on this one since he seems to have all the answers, and he seems to know who is killing who.
