''Anyone who thinks I’m a bad person for exposing this sort of villainous thinking let me know''

I agree with Victor Matthew. Personal discusions should remain personal and by divulging them you are completely wrong and show your lack of integrity as Vistor told you.

Matthew

“Victor”,

I have never posted your personal information, such as your name or any other things that upset you with the exception of your completely outrageous xenophobic and racist statement directed towards the Jewish people and what they have suffered in the past and present. As the discussion at that time was on the Ustashe and your sympathy towards the Nazi regime it was certainly on point to disclose it.

The reality is, you were upset because what you said was completely unacceptable to any civilized person on the planet.

People like you are dangerous and I will always expose someone with a truly black heart filled with contempt and hatred towards others in the world based on their race, gender or ethnicity.

You pretend to care for the victims of violence, yet all you show is selective hatred towards the abusers, never compassion towards the abused.

In response to Mr. Levy’s lawsuit against the Vatican Bank for hiding looted Ustashe gold after the war Victor responded;

“Mr Levy is certainly a Jew who dislikes the Catholic Church and will try to defame the Pope and the Church. Mr Levy should try to find the reasons why Hitler decided in 1940 to 'cleanse' Europe of the presence of all Jews.”

Anyone who thinks I’m a bad person for exposing this sort of villainous thinking let me know. I think I’m doing the world a service.

I do not believe a word you say. You spread lies and defamatory allegations about poster who you invite to correspond with you to 'learn' the most you can about them and after you reveal everything on this board of discussion. This is highly disgusting and have never experience this on the NET, and I had correspondents from Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Israël, Germany, France...

All these correspondents had enough intellectual maturity and integrity to respect discussions made in private. You have proven many times the contrary, even publishing what I told you under other pseudonyms.

Are all the Serbs like you?

Matthew

“Victor”, I post under my real name Matthew, which is more then you do! I know you are a French Canadian, so I would have no reason to question who or what you are.

Then again you believe I’m one of the most extreme nationalists in B92, an accusation that I find highly amusing.

That being said, I condemn all abuses toward POW’s including execution, its simply barbaric…

I am sure that I am the only Canadian on this board. For some strange reason, I believe that Matthew is the one who changes his nick as he changes his shirt every morning.

I amight be wrong but I am almost sure I am right.

As for the picture, I also have one taken by Ron Haviv if I remember when we see a Serb soldier kicking a Muslim woman in the head! This picture has gone around the world and you certainly saw it yourself.

Aleks,

I had the honor to meet Ms. Gabanelli, we called her Mila! Wow I cannot tell you how surprised I was to hear someone mention her name after so long. Everything you say about her is true, and last I heard she is was writing a book about the Yugoslav wars. I met this lady two times once very briefly and the other time for a longer period as she was traveling with us, a group of Canadians, representing Macleans Magazine who I worked for as a photographer and a couple journalist from Canada's Globe & Mail as well as a free lance journalist who was also Canadien, can't remember how she joined our little national group but I do remember she had a nasty cut on her lips, someone did a terrible stitching job. She was a very pleasant and talkative lady, constantly writing notes, even when it seemed like there was nothing to write about! How do you know about this lady? Wow this brings back memories, and Victor as I told you before I am not a Serb, I am Canadien from English decent. I have seen and photographed some of the worst atrocities any human being could commit and they were committed by Croatians, so sorry if I don't share your sympathies for Croatians, one of your country man held a knife to my ear just for fun to see if he can make the Macleans Journalist cry. Very brave of the so called Croatian victim of Vukovar. I remember a few days later seeing that same "poor excuse" for a soldier beating a woman senseless on the street I took that picture but we never identified who the woman was or if she was later killed, the picture never ran in the magazine but I have it in my archives, a reminder of how cool Croatians are in war time. After the war I took an interest in learning more about Croatians and Balkan Muslims and discovered how efficient they were for Hitler in Killing Jews and Serbs during Word War 2. Victor, don't speak to me about how Serbs are demons, you know nothing until you have lived what I did over there! You claim to be a Canadien and not a Croatian, I think this is not true, but if it is then as a fellow Canadien I am ashamed to call people like you my fellow citizens. But hey this is a forum of free speech provided by B92, a Serbian company I may add, so all the power to you to rant and blame the Serbs for everything evil in the Balkans, its your right I guess. But let it be known that some people like myself and others actually were there and know what we are talking about unlike you who sits at home and browses propaganda reports.

"And our Serb poster from Toronto, alias Canadien, thought that Sireta who was extradited from Norway had, alone, killed all 260 patients from the hospital."

I'm not sure if you are getting me confused with someone else. I used the alias "Canadian" for awhile until someone with the similar name "Canadien" appeared a short time ago. I have been using the name "Toronto 1" for a while now to distinguish my comments from our new poster. The new poster and I respectfully came to the understanding that I would use the new mame of "Toronto 1" so that others might enjoy our posts without confusion.

While the other poster might have commented on the Ovarca Farm incident I have never done so. The reason I'm writing this is because the I don't beleive the person using the "Canadien" alias is from Toronto as I am. I beleive they are from Quebec, and I think it is important that people on the site know who they are addressing so that they can intelligently debate eachother on the forum.

In closing (to get back to the main topic), the Vukovar events were tragic and those who are guilty must face justice- I won't argue with anyone about that.

I hope both of you, Canadien and Victor have a good day and I look forward to learning more from you through yoour posts in the near future.

It does not matter who they were; first, the Serbs troops and paramilitary had no business in the hospital, threathening doctors and nurses; second, if there were soldiers among the patients, they were all under the protection of the Geneva Convention. They should have been made prisoners and treated likewise.

To remove people from an hospital and pretend that they could be executed because they were enemy soldiers is also a crime. It shows the lack of conscience of posters as Ida and Aleks.

Among the victims, there were nurses and doctors,

Not just 'soldiers' Idam but HOŠ and other paramilitaries who were 'busy' with the civilian population before Vukovar fell.

No one mentions what these people did. One of the few, an italian journalist called Milena (not a serb or related to a serb) Gabanelli who reported for RAI and one of the very few western journalists who didn't fall for all the propaganda, did some quite interesting reports.

For her trouble of being a proper journalist (i.e. not sheepishly following the others) she faced death threats and and organized campaign by the Vatican against her. She since dropped off the radar, the threats and campaign having had their effect...

She was with the JNA when they got to Vukovar. Let's put it this way, the HOŠ were not Beach Boys.... But who really cares when so much has been vested in such a binary/black & white story for so long??? Plus ça change.

There were no records to show that those who died were patients in the hospital. They were soldiers who fought in the area, and many went to the hospital with their arms.

There were no women and all the dead, or very nearly all, were soldiers. Therefore they were not civilians as you say Victor.

«The retrial is being led against 17 persons indicted for the alleged execution of 200 Croatian prisoners at the Ovčara farm».

And our Serb poster from Toronto, alias Canadien, thought that Sireta who was extradited from Norway had, alone, killed all 260 patients from the hospital.

He should read the story of Mrdja Darko or Gorab Jelisic; these guys have killed more civilians alone that Sireta who participated in the massacre, but we have to wait for the indictment and not presume as Canadien that he killed 200 patients from the hospital.

Canadien knows little about the huge massacres committed against Bosniak and Croats during the Un-civil war in the Balkans.
