When, then, would it be timely? Is there some implication here that Islamic fundamentalism (or, even better, any type of fundamentalism, religious or otherwise) will at some point in the future cease to exist?

Hey Islam guys, get used to it if you want to live and have dealings with the FREE Western world. That's how we do business here. Just like placing a crucifix in a toilet as a "freedom of expression", saying something derogatory about Islam, is the same thing. FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION! I understand a lot of the Muslim world does not have this but, if you want to exchange with the West, deal with it or, go stay confined to your own states. Why should the West conform to islam?
